我们花了几个小时或一天的时间看到了一些白鹅、鹭、 猎鹰、秃头鹰和有名的野生牡丹。我们沿着海滨或者平坦的小路散步。我们沉浸在大自然的美中,十分享受。公园开放到晚上10点。

公园很漂亮。花15美元买张票可以逛一个星期。在里面,你可以看到小马,秃头鹰,还有其他动物......很有趣。这里另外让人印象深刻的当属海滩...去过佛罗里达州的海滩后......你会觉得这里充其量就是一般。。。去par时一定要小心蚊子,它们都是吸血的恶魔。

我和一位朋友来这里旅行,这里美丽极了,道路修整得很完好,公园海滩附近的景色很不错,能看见小马驹和德玛瓦半岛的黑松树实在是有意思。

祈祷有好的天气,在亚萨提格海滩和林间小路散步以找寻野马。我们的年龄在62岁以上,我们进所有的国家公园都是免费的。

在过去的四年里,这是我们第五次来这里,而且每一次都玩得非常愉快。我们来自Jersey Shore,能欣赏这么自然的沙滩镇令人高兴-没有公寓或酒店,这是跟别处不一样的地方。公园维护得很好,有足够而且很干净的卫生间。这里也有很多远足和骑自行车的地方,而且下午三点以后还可以开车穿行。看到纳税人缴纳的税款能够花在造福人民的地方,真让人高兴。

Fine seashore with a herd of wild ponies that have been on the island for 300 years.You'll see gulls, fishing hawks and the occasional bald eagle too.

Can't wait to explore all of the trails, due to the weather we were only able to make it as far as Tom's Cove, which was absolutely beautiful!

Natural beauty at its finest. Explore the trails. See how many different kinds of birds you can identify. Look for the famed ponies. Check out the live Eagle-cam at the Bateman visitor's center. Take a short hike to Assateague Lighthouse. Relax and breath in fresh air under the loblolly pines. Walk or bike and work up an appetite for a delicious seafood dinner.

Love the Eastern Shore especially Chincoteague Island and the parks and waterways. Spent a week in the area, touring the parks and beaches, chattering a cruise boat to explore the sounds and creeks around the island and most importantly sampling their splendid salty oysters! This is a small and dwindling part of the Virginia coast that is still authentic and not commercialized!

Love this area, stunning beach, wildlife and the ponies, great places on the Island and can stay at a campground in Horntown on the mainland.

We are bird watchers, and the Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge always provides fun for us. Our February weekend was terribly cold, and we were delighted to find the snow geese all tucked up against Tom's Cove trying to stay warm. You'd think they were lumps of snow except for an occasional neck popping up to see what's going on.

You see all kinds of wild life. Great nature trails. Beaches the you can walk forever finding seashells. My favorite part is trting to find the wild ponies

Best time to go is in the early fall - most of the large crowds are gone, and the air and water are still warm! Even my teenage sons love it here! Beaches are open! Some parts of the beach are guarded, if you like that kind of thing, and the rest are available for fishing, surfing, and boogie boarding. Bring your bike! Pedal around the refuge and enjoy the wildlife. You may even run into a wild pony! Bring your kayak and paddle the Assateague Channel. Flounder and blues are still biting.

Coming face to face with a wild pony while riding bike was absolutely amazing. The trails were perfect for our family to ride and explore the island. The beach was unique and gave way for wonderful shell exploration.

We drove the wildlife loop. I was able to see my first Sitka deer, snow geese, ponies, Gallardo, knuckleheads and swans. It was beautiful.
