Closed. Owner had gone bankrupt. I feel bad for people that built homes on this golf course. Their property has reduced in value and will be difficult if not impossible to sell. Originally this was a beautiful course designed by Arnold Palmer.

This is a very good layout. Very playable, but it will test you. Views throughout the course are worth seeing. Great value. Good for all handicaps.

What a great course - and we had it to ourselves! This course in unlike the others in Pinehurst - almost feels like a mountain course. This is a top 3 for our group!

We got a good deal to play here from Golfnow.com. It is an OK course but definitely one that you need to play more than once to know where to hit the ball. There were some blind holes, holes where we hit too much club and got into trouble because we didn't know trouble was there. Greens were in good shape. Not bad for the price but needs some work. It says no personal coolers but I would recommend bringing your own food and drink. There is no beverage cart and minimal available at the "clubhouse."

Needs a little TLC, course has a championship layout just needs a little work. Price was right, good place to get rid of the winter layoff rust.

My son and I played last spring and found the course to be a fun track with elevation change, and the need to work the ball a little balanced against being reachable for the old man in regs consistently and challenging the young buck to try for home run shots on shortish par fours and fives (shortish for him).We had a good time and will probably play it again. Don't look for too many amenities, there aren't really any. If you can be wild, bring plenty of ammo. If you are accurate you can score here.

An Arnold Palmer design and interesting course. Gets very little play and is under-rated. We like it. Sometimes, the conditions are not too good.

After playing other courses in the area we were somewhat surprised at the lack of facilities and finish as we drove into this golf course. The golf course itself is challenging and in reasonably good shape, but lacking the attention that many busier courses can afford.

This is an uncared for golf course. It's a shame, because essentially a nicely laid out track and plays very well. That's the good news. It ends there. Still no clubhouse. shelves empty in club shack. Driving range is like hitting balls into a cow pasture with weeds two feet high. Anything outside fairway is unkempt. Weeds sprout everywhere showing a lack of care for anything other than they have to do. Cart run out of gas, as the calibre of golfer there is a step above muni. No golf decorum of dress or etiquette. When the golf junkets go there once, they won't, like me go back. Someone with money...please buy this place, clean it up and let it complement the great golf in the area.

This Palmer / Seay design is not well publicized but it is a great layout with extremely challenging greens. If you are in the wrong location could luck trying to 2-putt. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Will play here again, maybe this summer!

Just returned from the Sandhills area where many courses were weathering bad greens again this summer. Best greens of the four we played. In order of green conditions - The Carolina, Longleaf, Talamore, Mid South. Replay fee of only $30 and the course was not crowded all day long. Perhaps hurricane Irene kept the crowds away. If they get their traps cleaned up, I'd rate this a 5 instead of a 4. Still no clubhouse to speak of, but we were there for the golf and not the glamour.
