We could see the library literally from my friend's back yard. When we visited the library it was vibrant and bustling with patrons young and old. The library was well designed with functional spaces for learning, research, study and fun. Well worth a trip.

Everyone was helpful here and it was very youth-friendly. Our older teen daughter was pleasantly surprised they had such a large anime selection. They had computers to use with free WiFi and comfortable beany bag chairs to sit on. It was very clean and also had washrooms.

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Kids section is lovely. Lots of videos and DVDs. Great free resource.

The OB Library has truly come of age. They have an awesome relatively new and young staff that rocks. Their energy and innovation has become a symbol of a rebirth . For example, they are training us ( many of whom are senior citizens ) on how to best use all of the social media available these days. They are having game times, pajama parties, luaus, etc to attract more users. And they just announce the aquisition of a large supply of new books as well. If you want to feel good, stop by for a visit. Who knows, you might even find a book or two for your summer reading .

Excellent library...Good reference materials (Value-Line for stocks) newspapers, kid's section, literary events.Check the days and hours first as the different island libraries have different schedules.

The OB Library is fun and a nice stop, especially on a rainy day. It's very cute and the staff is very helpful. It's nice to take time out of a crazy day to swing by and relax at the library.

This is a small town library that offers a fine a service as the institutions in any major city that I have visited plus it has a friendly feeling. The library staff are helpful, delightful, highly energetic and fun loving. As part of a collaborative of a number of smaller libraries, it is able to give individual attention while having access to a wide variety of resources. The physical facility is so comfortable and welcoming that I find it a wonderful alternative to staying at home or finding a coffee shop for killing time. The high tech electronic era has only enhanced this library's activities.Don't miss a chance to visit it when you are around the Oak Bluffs area.

The library building is very well designed, and has very supportive staff. Good collection that is enhanced via the CLAMS inter library loan program . Good internet connection and computer access. If it is raining , certainly the place to go, especially with children !

Books, computers, dvds, children's programs, teen corner, challenge, cooperation and conversation for all ages, technical help, programs for every occasion, energized by volunteers and librarians attentive to community well-being; a slice of heaven in Oak Bluffs.

We love to go to the Oak Bluffs library! The staff is friendly and helpful, the selection is great, and they have great programs that they offer!

Beautiful library located in a quiet residential area just a short walk (maybe six blocks or so) from the heart of Oak Bluffs' business area. Great place to use a computer if you do not have one of your own with you, or a printer for that matter. Even if the library is closed, the wifi is still accessible. Quaint rocking chairs adorn the front porch providing a good spot to sit and access the wifi. Staff is always so pleasant and helpful. The building is probably less than ten years old, thus it has modern features, yet it retains a New England style of architecture to fit well with the neighborhood.

I have been going to this library for a few years now and I think they have gotten so much better over the past year or so. There is a great selections on site and you can get things from all over the cape and islands in a matter of a day or two. There are computers available for use, printer, copier, and great staff to answer any questions you might have. They have been so helpful to me, I love the ob library!

The Oak Bluffs Library has become the very best library on the Island. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. The Children's and Young Adult programs are exceptional as are the programs for adults. It is truly an example of what all libraries should strive for.

The sun does not always shine on Martha's Vineyard. The Oak Bluffs Public Library is an ideal destination on those dreary summer days. There is a large children's room, there are plenty of DVDs to borrow and books, oh my, there are books galore. It is also a convenient place to use public (free) computers. They get busy in the summer, so it is best to reserve computer use in advance if you have a specific task. Wifi is free and available from the convenience of your parked car in the back lot. For year-rounders, the library offers access to a panoply of research materials from all over MA. The librarians seem to become warmer and friendlier with a smile.There are speakers and other library-run activities that are sure to let a little light in on any subject.
