We stopped in during our stay in Augusta to see the gallery and get some information about the Kennebec Valley Art Association. The woman that was manning the gallery was very friendly and informative and the exhibit was well presented. Hallowell is a great little town with an obvious appreciation of the arts! Definitely worth a visit!

The Harlow Gallery celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Under the excellent direction of Deb Fahy and Nancy Barron a visitor to the gallery will find a rotating series of presentations that not only bring big city art to this charming city on the banks of the Kennebec River but also support and nurture local artists. The Gallery also serves as a focal point for local school art programs that develop an up and coming generation of artists and collectors. Worth a trip if you are looking for excellent art in places other than the Coast of Maine. The Harlow is situated downtown and diverse food and shopping is immediately available.
