This is a relatively new winery. The wines were pretty good and different from typical Virginian wines. The tasting room is adorable. I see great things for this winery.

This winery has a lot of potential. It's relatively young and they are already making superb wine. We had a tour of the winery with Jeremy (the sales manager) last fall. I must say that he is very well-informed and he answered every singe questions we had. It was so good that we became members at the spot. We re-visited Stone Tower Winery last weekend to pick up our wines and the scenery is still wonderful despite the fact that it's winter. I can't wait till they complete building their lounge and cellar. Also, they started once a month soup Sundays. I highly recommend you to taste their wine and enjoy the view, at least once.

The wine tasting was very reasonably-priced and a good mix of the "wine speak" and interesting background about where the wine came from and why it tasted a certain way. I'm certainly no wine master, but they didn't make me feel intimidated which was really nice. It's a very nice venue too, and we were shown the construction of the new building that's coming up. This place could really take off very soon. The wine itself is definitely worth the trip, but the views are great on their own too.

Stopped in here (Oct 2014) with my parents for a tasting while doing some "winery-hopping". I'd never been, but read some reviews. And -- wow!! Just wow.The staff (Jeremy) and owner (Kristi) were just amazing. Friendly, fun, informative...we felt like we were drinking with old friends. The 'converted barn' is massive with seating, couches, two tasting bars, etc, etc... and they're looking to open a new sprawling tasting room across the draw in 2015! The wine was young - but enjoyable. I purchased the Wild Boar Chard, and I don't usually get Chardonnays and my mom got a couple of bottles of their Sauvignon. The grounds are relaxing and breathtaking -- seating areas of couches, tables, benches, etc... scatter down from the tasting room like a child's toys.... each one providing enough spacing for groups to chat. The vineyard rolls into the distance and at the bottom of the draw is the wine cave. Didn't make it in there, but next time my glass of wine and I am going for a stroll. This is the kind of winery where you invite friends to meet you, ya' bring a picnic lunch (I think they're permitted), you do a tasting, you buy a couple of bottles of wine and you relax for a few hours... decompress... enjoy the country air.... make new friends... walk in the vineyard... etc..Wine: EnjoyableService: Friendly and FunGrounds: Worth the visitParking: Grass / rock - large lotThe only downside to our time at Stone Tower was that it was our first stop of three wineries, and we only got to spend a sliver of time here. Can't wait for the grand opening of the new tasting room!!! (feel free to send and invite.)Would recommend: Only if I want to share with others. Ok - yes!Would repatronize: MOST Definitely!Note to owners/managers - better roadside signage pointing to the tasting room -- as we drove up the the maintenance building (which honestly is a nicer building than some wineries I've been to.)
