You can find always what you're looking for. The best thing is the 2.8 m trail. It's great for a walk or jog. The trail next to the river is great as well.

Whether you are a hiker or an off-road biker, this park has great trails. The best hiking trail is a 3 mile, round trip trek along the Palatlakaha River. Beautiful, black water with lots of amazing Florida landscape and wildlife. Awesome morning hike! The Passive Recreation area has several miles of trails to explore, butterfly demonstration gardens, two observation pavilions, a nature center with a geology lab, restroom facilities, community gardens, 50 acres of Scrub Jay restoration, and 5 acres of meadow restoration. The Active Recreation area is the front 50 acres of the park and includes two softball fields, a football field, basketball court, six pickleball courts, two tennis courts, two large picnic pavilions with grills, playground, canoe launch, exercise stations, and a large dog park. What more could you ask for?! This is a park where you and your family could spend an entire day.. and it's FREE! Highly recommended.

I have visited this location in Jan 2014 and Jan 2015. It's a remote area with hiking trails along Palatlakaha River. The biking trail runs alongside the curvature of the hiking trails. Hiking along the river is so peaceful and there are benches along the way if you need to rest. I haven't had much luck at the viewing pavilion, although I'm quite certain that has to do with the time of day I visit - early afternoon. There are restrooms at the beginning of the dirt road just beyond what appear to be community gardens. Take binoculars and a camera if you have them.
