My family camped at Indian Lake State Park in late June, early July of 2013 (I marked June 2014 but it was 2013) for almost a week. The location was fantastic, the sunsets were amazing and the place was beautiful. We drove our camper and vehicles from Texas. We did have a few days when the mosquitoes were bad, but I would go back here in a heart beat. The only thing that would keep me away is the distance and that there are so many other great UP locations I want to visit. I highly recommend this camp-ground for families. I saw a number of small groups camping together which appeared to be either groups of friends or families, all circled up.

Enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, etc... on this awesome lake in "da U.P." You could spend hours on this lake lounging in the summer and ice fish in the winter. Great getaway!

Indian Lake State Park south is our absolute favorite place to camp. In fact, my profile picture is taken from our favorite campsite! We come here several times a year even though it is a four hour drive. It is well worth the trip. It is beautiful, clean and very we'll run. The lake is excellent for fishing, swimming, kayaking, or just watching the sun set. It is close to many sites and attractions. We even camped when it was snowing in Oct.! We've been coming here for over 30 years with no plans to stop!

We had a wonderful afternoon at Indian Lake. We had 10 family members of different ages and spent a few hours playing volleyball (I think there were 3 separate areas with nets), picnicking, and cooling off a bit in the lake. Everything was very clean and well kept, beautiful grounds/trails, interesting stonework in the buildings, and decent bathrooms. Great place to visit!

stone built building with fireplace available to use or reserve for your group- did have bats in the eves- but they were use to people and didn't bother anyone. Beautiful paved trials to the lake- handicap accessible.

Indian Lake is an underutilized Lake about seven miles across at its widest point. It is a shallow lake, about 15 feet deep at its deepest point so it is generally warmer than nearby lake Michigan. . It has mostly sandy beaches that slope gradually so it is ideal for young kids to swim.so there are no abrupt drop offs. Very good panfish fishing, especially Walleye

Lovely lake where so many friends, either summer folk or year-round residents live. It offers beauty all seasons, leisurely atmosphere. Very friendly place.

They have a nice beach on the lake and 2 very nice very large picnic areas with enclosed shelters too. They have a couple nice horseshoe pit areas and a volleyball area. Also a nice playground area. This was all along a pretty good sized lake and was pretty fairly wooded. They also have a boat access in the park and I believe a campground although I never saw it.

We did a drive through to check out the lake and campgrounds. We had camped there many years ago. It appears to be very neat and clean and well taken care of.
