A great time to stop by the B-29 All Veterans Memorial is dusk, which gives an amber hue to the fixtures. Take time to study the dedication stones, where special stories emerge. I look forward to the development of museum and interpretation facilities here, as the memorial is situated at a historic WW II pilot training site.

Not a great display but respectful. Located at the first airfield created for the B-29 outside of Wichita. The Battle of Kansas was waged here when the B-29 was made airworthy in one of the worst winters in history. The memorial has three aircraft on sticks in front of a memorial to the local residents who have served their country in various wars. Nearby a memorial museum is being readied for visitors to record the history of the base and it's importance to the WWII effort. Give it a 15 minute visit it will make you feel better.
