Nice variety of local veg - even in Dec we had awesome hot house tomatoes 2.99/lb which made awesome pico. Local farmhouse cheese 10.00/Brie sized wheel and bread (6.00/loaf), bock choy (2.00/bunch).

No better food. No better flowers. All local. All Splendid and full of the colors of yum! Wednesday is fast becoming my favorite. Smaller scene, more casual. Deep yellow eggs available. ( they are so good, it's not even like eggs ) hey, am I in Amsterdam ' s open air market or Carrboro??? :-)

They even have gluten-free baked goods! I'm a regular here. Eggs tend to sell out early--ask your favorite supplier for a phone number so you can call ahead to reserve yours. Certified organic fruit and vegetables are available, plus a number of farms use organic methods but are not certified. Naturally raised beef, pork, chicken, other meats. Wow!

one of the original local only farmers' markets. Full of local flavor. Great vegetables, baked good.

I absolutely love this market. I have been going nearly almost every Saturday since we moved to North Carolina this summer. The quality is incredible and the farmers are so helpful and friendly. We have also tried some of the meat and sweets and they are truly the best around! Bring a lot of money as there will be countless items you won't be able to go home without! The flowers are also plentiful and incredibly beautiful! Highly recommend visiting this farmer's market if you're in the area!

I've never been disappointed at the Carrboro Farmers Mkt. Goat cheese is my fave. Flowers. tomatoes and herbs. Too much to comment about, IT'S ALL GOOD !

The Carrboro Farmers Market is unique in many ways--it is run by farmers, someone who grows the food must be at the market every time, and all food must be grown within 50 miles of Carrboro. This means that you always know what you are purchasing and you will never want to settle for store-bought produce again! The market features over 50 varieties of tomatoes, many varieties of melons and other vegetables and fruits. Many farmers also sell meat and eggs. The farmers and shoppers are friendly and the market is a real community. There are frequent special events, for example, tastings, story telling for children and special music. I am a local resident and market volunteer. Visitors and locals alike enjoy the Carrboro Farmers Market!

I love the Carrboro Farmer's market, I appreciate all of the farmer's who come, and the crafts men and who who are there. But in my opinion is is pretty expensive. However, quality of produce exceeds any expectation that I have. Lots of organic items, and for the community that is aware of the health benefits of fresh produce, this is an awesome place.

I've been to lots of farmers' markets, and this is by far the best. It's just the right size -- not so big you get overwhelmed, not so small you can't find what you're looking for. The farmers are not only friendly but also interested in educating the public, and most offer both samples and information. The Wednesday afternoon market is about half the size, but it's still big enough that I can always find what I need. The Saturday market is open year-round. In addition to the "usual" farmers' market items, you can often find local wines, handmade baskets (really they're works of art), woodworking, "yard art" (far too pedestrian a title for it -- sculptures etc made of everything from rebar to spark plugs). There's a hot dog cart, coffee and/or tea, freshly made lemonade, and other "immediate" refreshments. Worth the trip if you're outside the immediate area; imperative if you live anywhere close.

Stroll through the farmers market to find amazing fresh produce, meats, cheeses, flowers, crafts, baked goods, and more. Perfect for locals and tourists. I like to go every week! During the summer, the market is also open on Wednesday afternoons.

I'm so fortunate to live just 3/10 of a mile from the Carrboro Farmers' Market, and I shop there every day that they're open. The farmers are all very honest about not using the term "organic" if they are not USDA certified. Most of them just don't think the cost and paperwork is worth it. Some of them use euphemisms such as "Morganic" to describe their practices, but all of them are happy to tell you what, if anything, they put on their crops. So just ask. I love the fact that everything comes from within 50 miles and the farmers themselves run the market.

We are lucky to have such a wonderful weekly market. We purchase our meats, produce and flowers at the Carrboro Market. Locals and visitors alike can enjoy freshly made breads and pastries, locally spun yarn and handmade crafts.
