cowboy museum

The museum is just two small rooms, but it has a lot of fancy show saddles, along with some cool memorabilia and historic photos. Some of the old saddles are real folk art and are beautifully worn from use. The volunteer there was very friendly and knowledgeable. Parking was easy.

Great collection of history of the Cowboys in Oakdale and surrounding areas. Lots of items to look at and wander around. Their docents and volunteers are a wealth of information. Don't miss this wonderful place!

An interesting place to wonder around. Lots of neat old Cow Boy items to learn about. Lots of pictures of the past days.

There are a lot of interesting items to look at in this museum (if you like cowboys, and rodeos, and ranching history), but perhaps the best thing is the docent who was there when I was there. She told me more about the history of my own area north of Oakdale than my parents ever did! She's great!!
