Old stuff everywhere. Farming is still alive and well in Neb. WE need to teach others about what we do and why. Food is cheap in the US because of what equipment and people have provided to make more efficient use of the land.

Visited the Museum in August 2013. They are remodeling so the exhibits were a little pushed together, but we learned a lot about the products grown in this area. Disagree that the equipment outside looks like junk. There were some great pieces outside waiting to be restored. The highlight to us was the film shown, actual footage of farming in the early days of mechanized equipment taken by a couple of brothers with their 8 mm camera. Learned a lot from it. The volunteers are helpful and knowledgeable. Recommend this to people with an interest in farming.

The Midwest heritage is well preserved here! They are in the process of remodeling but the building is outstanding. The staff is all volunteer and very informative with any questions you have. The man even let us stay late one evening after close so we could see everything!

A beautiful location rich in history and art. I went during an event and it was so fun! They had a corn maze, vendors, wagon rides, hay bales for the kids to climb on, dig your own potatoes and so much more. Whether you here for an event or just to browse all the history, this is a great inexpensive family fun place to go.

This museum, staffed by very nice folks, is a really neat stop if you have an interest in farming like my kids do (they have uncles who farm). If not, it's still worth considering, since we all benefit from the hard work that is farming. There is a small donation/fee, but only a few bucks.

Stopped by before I went to the monument. The indoor section has some nice displays about tools, livestock, and managing the soil for decent crops. There are also some nice tractors inside as well. The outdoor portion has very old tractors and other machinery, but looked like a huge junkyard to me.

I fjärran ser du också "skorstenen", The Chimney Rock--Scotts Bluff National Monument, Nebraska. Det finns m y c k e t mer att förundras över där borta, inte minst den e n o r m a Prärien.
