We had a family portrait taken here in Oct and it was beautiful. Earlier in the year there was great butterflies and an albino hummingbird. Quiet park just to walk around and enjoy the flowers and roses.

There are multiple sections/paths and continually new things to discover in this beautiful park. Easy walking paths with a multitude of different options (short path, longer path, cut throughs) etc. There are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the view, listen to the water, etc. Many people can be seen taking special occasion pictures here from senior photos to family pics and prom or homecoming. While it is not a "playground" for kids per se, there are many kid appropriate areas that were a major favorite for my son when he was a toddler. There are not really indoor places to cool down or get out of the elements so, take an umbrella or wear sunscreen if appropriate.Definitely a nice park!

Inniswoods is a beautiful park with amazing gardens. The setting is serene and quiet with easy walking trails. The only problem is there aren't enough trails due to the size of the park. If solitude and sharing mother nature's bounty is your goal, then it really doesn't matter. If you are looking for extensive exercise within a natural setting, try Sharon Woods or Blendon Woods Park. Inniswoods is the favorite spot for the high school students to take their prom pictures. I've seen wedding and engagement photo shoots as well. An absolutely gorgeous gem!

Beautiful gardens and walking paths. Wonderful for all ages. Grounds and gardens meticulously maintained by a large group of volunteers.

With many paths to walk and sites to see, Innis Woods Gardens is a little piece of heaven to make Mother Nature proud.

A peaceful and pretty garden and woods area near Westerville. Non-rigorous hiking trail. Especially like the spring flowers and the daylily displays in spring and summer. Not someplace I have ever gone in the winter.

We go at least once a year - beautiful flowers and landscaping at all times of the years (esp. spring/summer) with nice walking paths and pretty Japanese style water falls. Nice for families with children or couples/singles.

Great place to walk or run. Absolutely beautiful in the spring. Great place for family portrait. I only wish you could walk your dog everywhere on the property.

Neat place - very well maintained - one of the most unique local Metro Parks - has a neat section for kids - a story walk and clubhouse - landscaping is amazing - great place to take the family for a walk/hike.

A great place for a relaxing walk. The flowers are great. Also, the flowers are awesome. A great place to watch birds.

I find that even people who have long lived in Central Ohio do know know about the Inniswood Metropark. That's a shame. This isn't a park for picnickers, a place to run or bike or play games. It is not a place to bring your dog. It is a wonderful, quiet place for a walk, to enjoy the woods, and to smell the flowers. It is a true treat.

Inniswood is part of the Columbus MetroPark system but because it is tucked into a residential neighborhood, it is perhaps sometimes overlooked by visitors to the city. This lovely park/garden is beautifully maintained by an army of dedicated volunteers and is worth visiting in any season. Most plants are well marked to home gardeners can take home ideas for landscaping and container plantings. The rose garden, although fairly small, is a highlight and there is also an extensive herb garden along with various other plantings designed to change with the seasons. Since it contains a very wooded area, this is a great place to walk on the easy and level trails in the heat of summer; it's cool and shady. Children will enjoy the special section just for them, including a treehouse, secret garden, and simple stone steps across a stream. Really, this is a place I have visited frequently, either alone or with children or grandchildren. It never disappoints.

We recently made our first trip to Inniswood Metro Gardens while visiting Columbus and enjoyed the short scenic trails through the woods as well as the garden areas. Fall is in full tilt and would expect IF we were there in the spring these gardens would also be just as lovely. There were numerous professional photographers snapping away at couples and families as we strolled through the park which was indeed a confirmation that this IS once of the most scenic areas in the greater Columbus- Westerville area. We would certainly go back if in the area. Note: The Gardens are FREE and there is FREE parking ! Also no pets are permitted.

Small garden that is worth a few hour visit. This isn't an extensive garden with massive displays of perennials and fountains, but seems more like a sweet place to explore whether with visiting relatives, a group tour, or the kids.Extensive hardwood forests with boardwalk trails and bridges over small streams where many where jogging or walking and the surfaces were good for strollers. Nice American beech stands in the woods along with Paw Paws and other trees not seen as often.Lovely children's garden with a story that you read by hopscotching on the various paving stones engraved with the story. Though we were all adults you still heard the cries of delight when someone located the next stone in the story. Each paving stone was numbered and you had to find the next in the sequence to 'read' the story.Pretty ruin garden that you just might miss if you don't go explore along with Japanese-feeling rock garden where awesome Japanese Maples were in glorious fall color.

I took my 3 YO son. He was excited for "walkies"; we weren't disappointed. Despite the October chill, many plants are still in bloom. The changing leaves presented a nice back drop. We enjoyed the education area, tree house, maze and several trails. We visited two separate days for about three hours total - and plan to go back again with Mom.The only negative is the plethora of professional photographers and their clients. Several times we stopped so as not to interrupt, most motioned us through. A few were not considerate and we walked through anyway after a short pause.
