A friend showed me where this park was at. I thought it would be a good place to hike or take a leisurely walk for some good photos. Another friend told me she had went there saw the sign warning about snakes and got right back in her car! I went anyway. I was so glad I did. It was so pretty up there. Trails are very nice, easy to walk on. It's too cold for snakes right now. Even if they were out I would still have went. You just have to watch closer where you step and sit. I plan on going back to explore it all. It seems to be a safe area also. That's important to me. I am new here from the East and know nothing of this area. It can be scary trying to decide what's a safe area and what's not. It is very well maintained. The only thing people could do better with is picking up after their dogs use the bathroom. Feces litter the trails and signs clearly state to pick up doggie Doo. Maybe the park should supply doggie bags? Or designate a certain trail for walking pets. It's just not nice to step in a pile while you are trying to look at the beautiful area. They could also enforce a fine. I am sure they could rake in some cash there.

A well maintained walking/hiking trail on the outskirts of Globe. Not too long or too difficult but a nice hour or two outing. It is a hill so you get a little winded on the way up but it's absolutely worth the view.

Round Mountain Park is a beautiful area and only minutes from the downtown area. The trails are of moderate difficulty, unless you're going to run them, then you can rate them yourself! As you climb, beautiful vistas of Globe neighborhoods, area mining properties and the Pinal Mountains. Visitors have a chance to take the relatively easy trails or merge into the more difficult ones. There is a great map showing the trails at the visitor center. The one downside is the difficulty in signage getting you to the park. But it's in east Globe off the main highway on South Street. If you're staying at the Days Inn or Quality Inn, you're practically right there! And it is so worth the trip.

Built with years of dedicated vision and labor, Round Mountain is a unique hiking park with trails for different levels of fitness, multiple amenities, and the unparalleled beauty of high desert flora and fauna. My favorite trail is Boulder Canyon, though I love hiking to the top of the mountain (where the flag pole is) on snowy days. For kids, I recommend Bull's Eye Rock Loop Trail with a shorter walking distance and fascinating rock formations. I have convinced a number of kids that these stone nooks and crannies are fairy homes and we have crept around on Fairy Quests to try to spot the tiny, shy, elusive creatures. Don't miss the old mining shafts along the hillside on your way up West Trail.

Visited here with a hiking club and had a wonderful time hiking these trails. They are very well marked and fun to hike.

Stopped here a couple of times to play some games in the picnic area and enjoy the view and sunshine.

Beautiful country. Well maintained trails. Boulders add interest:-) Moderate difficulty. Easy access and close to downtown for great Mexican food after your hike!

Beautiful natural scenary...short nice walks/hikes. Nicely maintained, but didn't deliver the exercise I like. That said, I need to go the distance on the trail, not to be nervous about questionable travellers on the trail.

What a great amenity to have so close to the town of Globe. Different trails to choose from so you can suit your hike to your capabilities. We even saw a garter snake (we think) on one of the trails.
