Fabulous! fabulous !Only open to the public on Fri,Sat, Sun Georgia sure got it right by building this educational facility. It is a clean aquarium with fish native to Georgia with lots of text next to the viewing areas. It also has a movie-target shooting range with laser(?) guns for your use as well as one for fishing. The kids (and most adults) will love it... Outdoors, there is a beautiful stocked lake with fishing rods and bait for your use (free!)You must throw anything you catch back though. We will definitely return. It is convenient, right off I-75 !! Seniors are $4 and adults $5 . East walking

Great place to visit with grandchildren for a play date. Very educational, relaxing, went so much we brought our grandson a year pass. Money well spent!! Clean, friendly staff, very family oriented. Glad it came to Perry.

great showing of fishing and things to do while in georgia, would recomend , but the props need to be fixed and updated. otherwise a very nice place to visit, they even have a pond to fish in and its incluted with the entry price. kids were very interested in baiting ther own hooks and really caught some fish.(which they put back in pond) but you can bring home and cook.

My usual “gang” of family members (hubby, three children and in-laws) tried out the Go Fish Georgia Education Center in Perry, Georgia, this July Fourth weekend. My FIL, hubby and sons are avid outdoorsmen (fishing and hunting), so they really wanted to see this facility; however, we were all disappointed with this center. Our visit began with an 8-minute movie, which started out okay but quickly just repeated itself in both pictures and words. Lovely videos of the Georgia outdoors but too long overall. Not sure of the point of the movie. The facility itself is new and very clean. My sons liked the fish simulators, but we could not get the boat simulator to work. I only managed to get a video to show on the boat screen. The most popular simulator was the hunting/shooting one, which was constantly crowded (even though we went on a non-crowded day!). My hubby said it was so popular probably because it was basically a video game. One of the three screens did not work at first, and my children were not very excited with the hunting simulations. The outdoor aquarium is lacking; of course, I may be biased because I love the Tennessee Aquarium. This one is simple, the water is too dark green in some places to see the fish, and the path itself is mostly a white concrete walkway (no color, no design) with patches of glass through which to see the fish. The most interesting part was seeing the white (albino?) catfish. The large alligators were hiding, and several of the posted fish could not be found (too hot and hiding in a dark, cool spot?). Don't get too close to the glass or you will be covered with ants.I'm sure the displays inside were informative, but because my family are avid fishermen/women (like I mentioned), we were not that interested in reading all the wall information. I myself am not that much into fishing, so I really wasn't that interested in reading it anyway. Our last hope for the visit was pinned on going out to the fishing pond to fish. Poles are provided along with hot dogs for bait. Quite a few people were out fishing around the pond. For the entire 30 minutes we were there, I did not see anyone catch a fish. I'm guessing it was too hot for the fish to be bothered, because my husband did take our children to the dock and told my daughter to drop her line as close to under the dock as she could get. She did get a couple of pulls this way, but alas, no fish took the hook. The dock floor is made of metal, which made standing on it extremely hot in the sun. Likewise, benches are scattered around the pond for sitting, but they also are made of metal and not under any of the sparse trees, so when I sat on one, I shot up straight in the air from the hot metal touching my legs! (I know, I know, I should have known better!). Maybe all of these mishaps would not happen during a winter visit?Overall, my family and I were not impressed with this education center. Nevertheless, the price is not bad ($5 per adult, $4 per senior, $3 per child), so if you have never been fishing, you might want to stop by to have a look-see...but don't make a special trip if you live out of the way!

What a delight to have such a fantastic educational and fun center so close to home! This is truly a must for anyone who wants to learn more about our lakes and rivers and the fish that are in them? Fun activities for children!

We go here quite often. It is very affordable for a day out with the family. The kids enjoy very much the fishing pond even though they never have aught anything yet. The virtual game room is an added plus for all ages.

Loved the setup for reeling in practice and the live fish. There was a little alligator too, and a pond to fish.

Took the grandchildren and they had a blast, we had to pull them away as well as their grandfather. The only thing to be careful of if you go during fair time it might be hard to find the entrance, it would help to have a few more signs.

We needed a break, so I veered off the highway on a whim when I saw the GoFish road sign. Sure glad I did! The education center was both educational and fun, with lunique hands-on exhibits and aquariums both indoor and outdoor. We tried our hand at simulated deep sea fishing, checked out a fish hatchery, went on a virtual hunt for quail and deer, got an underwater view of Georgia's ecosystem and topped it all off by relaxing at the fishing hole. (Don't worry, the very friendly and informative staff will show you how its done and take your fish off for you if you want!). All this is included in the price: $5 for adults, $3 for kids, and it's good for an hour break (or more if you can't pull the kids away from the fishing hole!) Highly recommend this to anyone passing through!

A delightful place to take the grandchildren so that they can learn about fish. The staff is very helpful and considerate and caters to the kids. They even help the younger ones feed the fish.

All of my kids have been here at least once on a school field trip. I haven't had a chance to go with them. But they always come back & tell us how great it was.

Go Fish is a fun education center with lots of educational exhibits and hands on activities related to the sport and industry of fishing. You can even fish while you are there in a small pond - bait and poles provided!

The catch-and-release pond was the biggest hit to break up a long trip down the interstate. Don't expect to catch a monster -- but the hooks and the bait are ready when you are. Inside, there are several exhibits and simulators to experience what it's like to reel in a giant salt water specimen or a large mouth bass. The outdoor aquarium is well stocked and landscaped. And we learned a good bit about the river and lake systems in the state. The kids also enjoyed the "shooting range" (basically a video target and wild game hunt simulator), but I was less impressed with that than the actual fishing experience. I wouldn't plan a vacation around this destination, but it's certainly worth the visit if you're passing through.

Had a great time visiting. Learned some things I did not know about fishing in Georgia. Very nice facility many interactive activities for the kid to do, you also get to try to catch a fish or to in the pond out back, we caught 3 fish, and had a lot of fun

We recently visited the Go Fish attraction with 2 girls. The facility has a family restroom so this is great for dads to bring their little ones too. They have simulated fishing inside and some interesting exhibits on fish in general. As part of the admission, they have a catch and release pond that already has fishing poles with the hooks on them. All you have to do is put on the supplied bait. My daughters had a great time.
