I was there in spring and the walk along the river was charming, it is a long walk if you want to make it on. The water is clean and fairly fast moving with some fish and birds.

River banks near Komenského sady (Komensky park) are great place for relaxing in the summer with some blanket, good book and bottle of wine and it's just in the center of the city.

You can find Komenského sady (park) on the left bank of the river near New city hall. It is very good place to relax, meet people, picknick or sports. On weekends it is full of locals walking, jogging, cycling, skating or just sitting all around.There are not many refreshments options around.

There are some bicycle routes and walkpaths. And you are stil close to the center of Ostrava
