Cheapest beer at happy hour and a great place. They have very friendly staff and the beer selection was good. We don't drink whiskey but texted a picture to our son who does and he said they had some really nice ones. We met people there from Norway, Great Britain and had a great time talking about everything! Fun!!

Nice bar with dozens of whiskey which are not available in the USA. Had several tasting and enjoyed every one of them. Nice outdoor seating with live band performances. Worth a visit if you enjoy whiskey.

We found this place because of Trip Advisor! My husband and I enjoyed having a few drinks that were types of whiskey we'd never seen before. The bartender was quite nice and answered all of our questions about what it's like to live in Reykjavik. Stop by for a bit, you will not be disappointed.

My son and I ended up here most nights. Its a real cool place with friendly locals and tourists.Great bar staff and choice of music alongside some nice beers and wow what a choice of whiskies!like most places in Iceland its more expensive than the UK but they do have happy hour 4-8 each afternoon which is about UK prices.Great place, loved it!

Plenty of choice if you like whiskey! The Viking beer was great too. The music was great, a lovely warm and cosy place to visit.

We were there twice during our stay. Great live music on the second night that we were there. Many locals were there and we had a great time with them. Fair prices and the Viking beer, you have to get classic.

Obviously there is plenty of whisky choice! We stuck to beers in the happy hour which at 550 a pint was great. Really nice warm & cosy venue.

We went in as we wanted a drink and as we knew alcohol in Iceland is quite expensive we saw the "happy hour"sign and of we went! For whatever you want, do not order the red wine! It is in the happy hour for a reason. I couldn't even finish it! I ordered a pint of Viking beer. Much better. Can't really compare with any other type as we didn't really drink out (we were in a self catering and bought out own drink). They had a great selection on whiskys, and a board with explanation of whiskys from Scotland. The staff was friendly enough, but really felt a bit of a tourist.

Staff were friendly and atmosphere was good and edgy. The music was good and not too loud for conversation. Sat by the window and peopled watched. We were there on a weeknight and it still had a lively vibe.

We had an absolute blast in this bar. Rock music, beer (an excellent choice of drinks and obviously whisky!) and everyone ready to party! Lovely staff, everyone very relaxed and wanting to chat and say hello, great music and just got more and more fun (and a good few crazy characters). We arrived around midnight and the party was just getting going, so I think it has a much more mellow vibe before that time (as a lot of the bars do). Give it a shot if you are in Reykjavik, you'll have fun.

We stopped here quite a few times during our stay in Iceland. Really nice little bar with a cool, moody atmosphere. From 4pm there's a happy hour where you can enjoy a cheap pint (for those like me who were on limited cash) and watch the world go by from the windows. Friendly staff and locals.

Walking upstairs into the Whiskey Bar was a warm, welcoming moment and having been to a few bars nearby. The Dillon Bar instantly felt more natural. Its not smart or modern in decoration, its a classic bar, the service is great and has a friendly mix of locals and tourists. We popped in for a quick drink and stayed until it closed at 1am.Some of the locals were trying to sell us toiletries, which makes a pleasant change from drugs. Which we also found funny, but there were some deals on shaving cream, face cream, razors etc.. They accepted our non-interest gracefully and left us to our evening.

Stopped in for a whiskey sour (drink I tried in Iceland of all places) and find it quite cozy with great classic American rock. While the happy menu confused and cost us extra $$, we were very happy with the quality. TIP: skip the Chuck Norris grill downstairs if you don't need a full meal, you can have great drinks at Dillion's and eat apps from Chuck's. The chili-cheese poppers are worth twice the cost!!!

Lovely cocktails and atmosphere. Especially recommend the sailor's bile. However as we were leaving we were looking at the numerous rockstar photos on wall and trying to name them. One bloke shouted at us telling us we were blocking a fire exit. We created a pathway and invited the gentleman to pass through. He then proceeded to push my female friend more than once, tell us that we were "visitors" and lecture us about the pictures saying "they are who they are" when we were just trying to have a bit of fun. Then on my way out, I tried to close the door behind me, seeing as the bouncers had slammed it behind me every time I went for a cigarrette, and they held it open. Possibly for this abusive rude guy behind me, possibly just to be awkward. I would not go here again. Considering we were told that tourism in iceland is one of the biggest industries, youd think they'd treat "visitor's" a little better. Avoid like the plague and go somewhere else where you wont get physically abused and shouted at

Authentic bar with a vibrant atmosphere. Rocky music played throughout the evening. Popular with the locals as well as tourists which is always a good sign of a good pub. Happy hour between 4-8pm where some drinks are reduced in price. (The local beer Viking was 550 at this time (£2.75) )
