It was a lovely public park before the maniacs on bikes took over. Punta was the nicest walking path in Istria. Now it is frustrating and dangerous to walk. I know they give you bikes for free when you pay ridiculous amount of money for accomodation, but please, don't take them. Walk. It takes a bit more time, but trust me, it's much pleasanter for you and for all of us.

We had pouring rain one morning so decided to explore this park as we thought we might be a little bit sheltered from the trees. Macs on, brolly up ,we thoroughly enjoyed our walk, passing by pretty little coves and not a soul about!. Even when the rain stopped it wasn't crowded. A lovely, peaceful place to come away from the old town.

We were staying at the Eden Hotel and this wonderful park and forest was right on our doorstep. This is a popular area for hiking, biking, walking and exploring. You can pick up a map which shows cycling/walking routes and these are also clearly marked. We hired cycles from the hotel - which were inexpensive, you can also hire at the park entrance. The trails and tracks are well maintained and easily accessible with plenty of room for all.It seems that around every corner there is another lovely spot or view to enjoy. There is a café and BBQ restaurant if you want to stop and eat. It wasn't overly crowded on the sunny day that we visited and many families were swimming in the coves. For sunbathing, there are limited flat areas, with the exception of grass, but many rocky outcrops and ledges that you can lie out on.Overall, a very nice day out enjoying the fresh air and scenery.

We stayed in Rovinj close to this park, if you go by car, you can find a parking space close to the entrance gates easily in the morning and it is free. If you will come later than 11:00, it will be more difficult to park. In the morning there are very few people, later on there are lots, but the park is big with many separate beach areas, so I guess there is space for all. We like to go in the morning before big crowds and strong sun. The beach is extremely clean there are shady areas under the trees, there are places to buy food. The walk through the park before getting to the beach is also beautiful with tall evergreen trees and nice quality fresh air. lots of people come to jug, ride a bike and exercise in the park. It is one of the best, cleanest beaches in Croatia.

The most beautiful is certainly the Punta Corrente, a park forest with a string of gorgeous beaches - you can reach it on foot in about 20 minutes and then you can either walk among the trees by the sea for hours, swim, sunbathe, or rent a bike and explore the area that includes a bird reserve. Furthermore, in that park there are rocks which are good for free climbing.

The whole park is covered in well kept paths which allow plenty of room for walkers, cyclists and runners. The costal paths take you to all the little and less crowded beaches and rocky ledges for a quieter swim or sunbathing experience.

We visited this huge parc in Rovinj and it was a beautiful experience. There is a lot of shade and some beautiful beaches. Hire a bike and enjoy nature.

Beautiful green forest with the shades on the coast, clean sea and rarely overcrowded. Decent prices in the beach bar and the restaurant.

Hire a bike, so cheap. We got ours from BEHIND the tourist info. Slightly more but good bikes. Spent a great 3 hours riding along the coastline through this wonderful park. Plenty of places on route for refreshments

By any name this forest park is a "must do-must see" when visiting Rovinj. As the previous review shows, it's easy to spend a whole day in the park, either walking or hiring a mountain bike. If you are staying at the hotel Eden then the bikes are free (they were when we stayed there in May)Lots of footpaths leading through pine, cedar and Cyprus trees. The paths seemed to go on for ever with stunning views of the with rock and pebble beaches, so it's worth remembering to turn back at some stage !!!! There are cafes for a "pit-stop" and plenty of places for picnics.Designed by Baron Georg Huetterott (1852-1910) it's a wonderful place to enjoy some quiet time !!

I was surprised to have not read more about this lovely park before coming to Rovinj. It was a highlight of our visit. The peninsula looks far from Rovinj on the map, but it's basically an extension of it's coast with a huge park, lots of beaches, trails, and even a few cafes/restaurants and it's free! The park is a protected area for flora so it is very well maintained - we saw crews out raking beaches, trimming weeds and picking up trash. There are several miles of gravel paths that are great for hiking as well as biking (probably best with a mountain bike). Bike trails at least have signs, but foot trails don't and I didn't see any wayfinding maps in the park, so it's a good idea to know what your time limit is rather than just walking because you will not reach an "end." The beaches on the north side are the most well-used, lots of families with kids so it's safe. The south side had bigger rocks and fewer people, but still lots of people out even mid-week. Just FYI, beaches in Croatia are rocky - mostly small or large gravel and often people just lie on large rocks. There were also 3 cafes or so along the route that seel drinks, ice cream and some food. I recommend starting at the Rovinj harbor and walking south along the coast past the marina. You will come to a newly designed sunbathing area below the Hotel Monte Mulini (also nice to walk up to Monte Mulini and down to the beach) which stretches for a bit - there are nice spots here to swim and sit - lots of people out. There are spots to rent chairs and umbrellas below the hotels that line this coast if you want and also a grassy area to sunbathe. If you just keep following the coast around you'll end up on the north side of the park and can continue to just follow the paths around to the south side. There are also some interior trails that we didn't have time to get to, but the coastal trail has nice views. At some point you should either turn around or cut back through the park to head north toward town - the trail seems to keep going indefinitely down the coast. This was a beautiful and long hike and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the wonderful views - go see it!

Perfect place for everyone who loves to be in a peaceful, silent wood close to the cristal clear sea and perfect flat rocks that are waiting for you. It is perfect for all kinds of rest - active - biking, hiking, running, yoga, gymnastic, swimming - you name it.For a lazy type you can just lie down, near the sea, on a perfect flat rocks in the shadow of the pine trees. This is a real source of perfect harmony between the men and nature.

There are many small beaches and coves surrounded by trees. The best thing about it is that each one of them is different from the other, some are crowded, some are deserted, with big rocks, or tiny pebbles etc. There is also huge rocks for climbing further down.

Roebuck1989

A lovely nature park with plenty of shade running right up to the crystal clear water of the Adriatic. The best place to come swimming if you are staying in Rovinj. About a 20 minute walk down the coast from the centre which is by no means a bad thing as it takes you through some beautiful scenery and gives you a lovely panorama of the town. Perfect for picture opportunities and a bike ride if strolling and swimming is not your thing.
