See some historic rooms and then climb the rickety stairs/ladder to see a great view of the town. It's a little precarious, but worth it!

An interesting and varied museum with all sorts of different things inside. The ladies looking after the rooms will of course try to sell you something. The thing I enjoyed most was the view over Trinidad from the tower although I am not sure why there was a shop on each landing.

This is a great place to spend a couple of hours. The English speaking guide was very pleasant and informative. There were a great number of displays of furniture, glassware and paintings from all over the world, which had been taken to Cuba by the wealthy plantation owners.Approximately $4.00 entrance plus another dollar if you wish to use your camera. Well worth the price.

The museum is located just on the downhill side of the Plaza Mayor ( 2 CUC entry). Just look for the 3 story tower and that's it. It is situated in an old mansion and has everything from old cannons to stuffed birds. A wide range of historical, geographical, cultural, and zoological exhibits are displayed throughout the rooms and courtyard. Then of course there is at the viewing tower. I went up as sonar the museum opened ( 9:00 am) and then went back in late afternoon and stayed in the tower for sunset photos. Even though it was a little after closing time, staff were very accommodating in letting me stay. ( Of course and small financial renumeration for their time was appreciated)

Historical Museum is situated in the centre of Trinidad, an easy way to find it – to steer mot museum tower, it is visible from every point of the city, to the north from well-photographed bell-tower of Trinidad. Museum is placed in one of mansions of Trinidad and holds some interesting historical items. From the atrium you can go upstairs to the third floor of museum, then you can find the stairway to the roof of the tower, where the sightseeing point is situated, where is possible to take astonishingly beautiful pictures of the town, central square and over Trinidad valley.

Trinida is part of the Unico Heritage, very beautiful and peaceful, tranquility and friendliness all around. Trinidad has the most interesting history in my opinion. Did not get to see everything, I will return for part 2 of the history and beaufiful Trinidad, .... mi ciudad, mi gente !!!!!

Great views over the town and many interesting items of historic value within the Museum. Certainly worth a visit.

Not bowled over at the Meuseo Hostorico Municpal. Interesting enough… well not at all for me. So headed up three floors, via two poor tourist shops and arrived on a flat roof with wonderful views of the perfectly preserved Spanish Colonial settlement that is Trinidad. We headed off and that was it really.

Only the view from the tower is already worth a visit to this museum. From the top of the tower (steep stairs) you have an excellent view over the Trinidad village and the surroundings. The rest of the museum shows some traditional history of Cuba and Trinidad for those who are interested in it.

So much of Cuba is like history caught in a certain time and nowhere is this more obvious than Trinidad. Went to all the museums in Trinidad and while eventually, perhaps you can do one too many. each one adds to your learning of Cuba. Did add to my knowledge here and of course, the view from the top is wonderful..

Trinidad is of course beautiful and wondefully restored - and touristy - but what lifts it up from being "just" beautiful and touristy is its fascinating history. No place better to get a glimpse into this than the local history museum. Climb the tower for the best view of the town!

The famous view was here from the top of the house. That's one reason to visit the house. The rest was not that interesting, but the entrance hall is also beautiful.

The history of the revolution, Che and Castro very interesting, lots of photographic evidence, maps uniforms etc. at the end there are lots of photographs of those young men who took part very sad.

When you visit Trinidad ,amazing architecture of an old building which has been restored ,with a lovely courtyard .Many if the original features have been kept and it is now used as a museum .The exhibits are well displayed with friendly staff .An interesting feature is the tower which gives views across the city .

Very well presented museum set out with courtyard in the centre. Gives a good indication of historic grand life with lots of original features and exhibits on display. There is a tower which provides excellent panoramic views of the town so don't be put off by the very tight, steep stairs. They are very tight and not suitable for those who are unsteady on their feet.
