My mother and I were able to visit Traveller's during a city tour we took during our shore time in Belize City. The brewery had a great store to buy wine, rum, and other spirits plus souvenirs. The bar in the back had just about every bottle they sold available to sample. You can sample two spirits for one US dollar. You get a small sampling of your choices. I sampled the blackberry wine, which was very different from any wine I've tasted, and the Traveller's rum. The rum comes with quite a kick! I would estimate the sample size is about 5ml but I will admit the little amount of alcohol gave me a little buzz (but I'm a light weight). I picked up a great bag for $8.00US with the brewery logo. Who can pass us a good buy on a bag? We also were able to use the restrooms here which were clean. The entire store was very clean. Now, you can walk around and look at the displays and talk with the employees, but I just sampled and shopped. We were only here during a trolley tour for about 20 minutes but I enjoyed the stop and the shop was nice and cool!

My wife and I visited on Thursday, January 29, 2015, while in Belize City on a Royal Caribbean cruise. We actually got to this place while taking the Baymen City Tour trolley from the port, sponsored by RC.The shots, actually very large samples, are 2 for $1.00 usd and you can mix and match and have as many as you like. I asked for the two most popular rums and they gave me the "Blended" that was very smooth and " 1 Barrel" that was more full bodied.I did purchase a 1 liter Blended bottle for $10.00 usd and 375 ml bottle of the 1 Barrel for $5.00 usd. Of course when we got back to the ship the crew took the liquor and held it until the last night of the cruise and then returned it to our cabin. At disembarkation in Texas the Texas Alcohol Beverage tax authority met us and we paid a tax of $7.75 to bring in the rum. I still maintain this was a good buy, even with the tax.

We made a special effort to ride a local bus out to this establishment, before w e caught our overnight bus back to Mexico and Tulum. We sampled some of their liquors, bought some to take home, and toured the small museum which had old pictures, old distillers, a large area to observe the way liquors were made back in the day and how they are made today. Reasonable prices for liquors, the museum and wandering around inside was free. Very sweet ladies helping us taste and purchase, very nice center, clean and well kept. Enjoyed the hour or so we hung out here. Check it out if your are interested in local history and good liquor to imbibe for special occasions. ENJOY!

My hubby & I visited w/a group of about 15. The attendants we're friendly & suggested the panty ripper, it was tasty but strong. The "Rum Factory" (if you can call it that) is small, it's more of a liquor & spirits shop. The prices were fair & these bathrooms were VERY clean.
