If you want to see future NBA stars, you will definitely seem them at the hoop hall classic. It's hard to believe they are in high school. We'll worth the trip and a steal for the money. Springfield College always runs a first class event.

Among the smaller colleges, Springfield College stands out for its consistent growth, its supportive atmosphere, and its humanics philosophy. The campus is well maintained, the students are friendly and very supportive of each other's campus sports teams, and the school has a philosophy of "getting out into the community" to do good works. There are about 5000 students, and while PE is a popular focus, there's a wide choice of majors available. For a student who wants the familiarity and personal touches of a smaller school, Springfield College is well worth considering.

this is a beautiful campus, always well kept, green grass and trees line the campus, they have done a lot to keep the campus up after the tornado. a few of the building has been updated and are very nice. nice bookshop, have dunkin donuts coffee shop, a lot of space to sit and study. Library is definitely outdated, hopefully will be the next new project. New chemistry labs approx 6 years ago which are big and well designed. beautiful sport facilities and a new gym!

It was a beautiful facility. Unfortunately, our team got stuck in the basement gym for 3/4 games and it was soooo hot !!! Not good or safe for high energy sports players.

beautifully maintained campus, I went to college here 30 years ago and like to drive through every so often and the school has grown and been kept up well.

The campus is really improved and beautiful since the tornado. Everyone on the campus is friendly and helpful.

It was a beautiful day and the grounds of the campus and Naismith Green were stunningly green even though a tornado had struck the school and surroundering neighborhood the previous year.

This place is excellent. They have a program for inner city youths called the partners program that my son has gone to for four years and they help him with his homework and take him on numerous trips to parks, swimming events, dance events, and survival training. Other than that this is a clean and well protected (with alot of security) school. The college students are very friendly and helpful and the staff are the same. The inventor of Basketball , Mr. Naismith evented basketball at this college and they have a statue to honor him in the middle of the college. The Volleyball team just won the championship this year 2012.

What can I say. I had the opportunity to go to college. I PICKED SC! Why... because they gave me the tools to apply what I felt in my heart.. an educational setting that incorporates the total being ~ hence the motto MIND, BODY & SPIRIT!GO SPRINGFIELD COLLEGE!

Springfield College is most famous as the birth-institution of the world's most 2nd popular sport: basketball. James Naismith invented basketball in 1891, while working for Springfield College (then called the International YMCA Training School, and later International YMCA College,) before the college's current campus had been constructed.Springfield College is nationally renowned for its academic programs, and features distinctive architecture, based on Isaac Eddy Brown's influential "YMCA architecture" -- a mixture of various styles popular at the time, including Neo-Gothic and Renaissance Revival. The campus itself borders scenic Lake Massasoit (historically called Watershops Pond,) and features scenic views.In 2011, portions of Springfield College were destroyed by the 2011 Springfield Tornado; however, to many peoples' astonishment, Springfield College rebuilt what destroyed -- and estimated to take three years to rebuild -- in less than three weeks.Springfield College has a very pretty--and unique-looking--campus, and its history is certainly worth checking out.
