Gorgeous area. Zoo right there. Butterfly garden. Wonderful spot for kids to play or for a picnic. In Uptown area, beautiful, well maintained, historic homes. Ome for many movie stars. Lots of film making in this area as well.
You will not be disappointed with this park. Great for walking, picnic, reading or just feeding the ducks. Tons of Huge Trees that are amazing with lots of hanging moss. Picture perfect location EVERYWHERE you turn. Lots of people walking thier dogs. Playground areas looked very well kept. Bathrooms onsite.
Great place to have a picnic, walk or judt watch everything. Easy access from the trolley line., they also have a zoo.
We hoped off the trolley to allow our child to stretch his legs at the playground. We didn't get much past the area around the playground, but it was a beautiful area.
It was cold and raining, but I still had a peaceful and scenic walk around Audubon Park. Plenty of cute dogs (on leashes) and a fitness trail for the enthusiasts. A great place to alight from the street car and enjoy some quiet nature. The ride from downtown/Quarter is a beautiful sample of the many mansions of the Garden District. Magazine Street shopping and restaurants are also nearby. The park has all kinds of pretty water fowl to watch and the tower of Loyola makes a pretty backdrop. Clean bathrooms and water fountains. The zoo is also adjacent to the walking path. If you get off the paved path and venture onto the dirt/gravel one on the far perimeter, you can see some of the mansions along the park boundaries up close.
About 35 years ago I was in Audubon Park and saw the statue of the woman clothed in a bra! It was very funny. I returned and found her naked, but charming.
About 5 miles from the convention center, and across from Tulane and Loyola Universities, this park is one of the prettiest I've ever been in. The birds are everywhere and the sanctuary bird island was covered in birds. It was a cold day when I was there, but I'm so glad I made the trip.
This is a gorgeous place to spend time outside, such a wonderful park. It's easily accessible from the St. Charles streetcar. It's very well taken care of, with tons of lovely trees, benches, and a paved walking trail. We spent about an hour just relaxing on a bench overlooking the lovely pond and listening to the birds. There are so many birds! Truly a lovely place to escape and relax.
A very nice 2 mile walk with beautiful scenery. It's like the Audubon Zoo lets out the birds to go hang out in the Park....Very nice
On a beautiful day it's a great place to be. Between St. Charles and Magazine with a stunning entrance and gorgeous oak trees. It's hard to beat this for a walk, run or bike ride. You'll see lots of people out enjoying the outdoor space. It's a wonderful amenity in the city, right off the St Charles Avenue street car line.
This is an amazing zoo and Park. Thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits and learning more about the animals. The swap exhibit was really fun. I would highly recommend visiting the Park.
Beautiful walk! There is a golf course, there are physical work out stations, Live Virginia Oaks with Spanish Moss, picnic tables and children's playgrounds. Loyola & Tulane Universities are right outside!
Caught the St Charles Trolley Car to Audubon Park.Tried to find a couple of Geocaches bug failed unfortunately.Stopped off at "Bird Island", thousands of ducks etc congregating in the one area!Walked through the park to Magazine and then all the way back to Canal Street.Well worth the visit.
A Beautifully maintained park. The mossy trees are so lovely to stroll under. Got some great scenery pics here. Great place for a picnic
