The LSU mascot is right outside the stadium. You can't leave without getting a picture with Mike. The history of the stadium is interesting.

Not only will you see SEC at its best, the phenomenal party known as " tailgating" is an all day, all out affair. Even though you might hear the taunt of " tiger bait " if you're sportin' your team colors , that same group will invite you to partake of the absolutely best chow you'll ever eat at a football game !!

What a venue to watch a SAC team play. if you one of the unfortunate opposing team guest expect to be in seats near the top. But really there are no bad seats for LSU football. The biggest party is walking to the stadium the locals treat you like you are a friend for years very cordial and welcoming - they give you food and drink

It was fun. I was in town on business, so on my off time I decided to go explore the LSU campus. It was cool enough. I'm not particularly a college sports fan, nor an LSU fan so I wasn't specifically enamored, but it wasn't exactly boring. It's a stadium. If you like them, you'll love going. LSU and its community takes great pride in their athletics so for the fan it will be a truly fulfilling experience. No complaints.

It is easy to imagine the crowds on a football afternoon. The stadium is most impressive as is the area surrounding it.And, somewhat unusual is the home of the LSU mascot.......the tiger has its own "home" across from the stadium......and this is no small cage. There is no doubt that this beautiful animal is well treated and lives a life of luxury!!!And, with all the live oaks, the campus is as beautiful as I had imagined it to be.

Tiger Stadium is an incredible experience for any football fan. Come prepared and definitely tailgate before the game.

I'm a little biased as LSU alumna but there's no place like Death Valley. From the tailgating and the good old southern cooking to the southern hospitality from absolute strangers...it's a unique experience. It's a place that's gotten so loud that it was recorded on a nearby seismograph! Now that's a place to be on a Saturday night.

Words cannot do it justice. If you have never experienced an LSU game at Death Valley, you just aren't living!

No place like it on a fall Saturday night. Parking can be a problem. Be prepared to walk or pay a premium. Mike the Tiger's habitat is right outside the stadium. He is beautiful.

By the time they get done seating capacity will exceed 100,000. Amazing that no pro stadium can match the seating capacity of the larger universities. If you are out for exercise try running the stairs if the stadium is open for this. Local Boy Scout troops often prep for Philmont and other high adventure treks by running and walking the stairs with full back packs. As huge and magnificent as it is, the thrill of the crowd is missing if you are not there on game day. But for a close up of a modern wonder Tiger Stadium is hard to beat.

Saturday night in Tiger Stadium is something that ALL LSU fans should experience at least once in their lifetime. The atmosphere is electric. As you sit, stand, scream, yell and cheer, your blood will begin to change colors and you will find that you begin to bleed purple and gold!
