1811 historic jail

The 1811 Jail in Augusta, Kentucky is thought to be the oldest jail in Kentucky with its original foundation. It is an interesting find and is tucked away at the city park known as Appelman Park. Call ahead or stop by the Tourism Office on Main Street and they will gladly open it for you and give you a tour. It has been investigated several times for paranormal activity and definitely gives you a look into what it would have been like to be a prisoner back in the day.
