Come for the day or rent a winter cabin along Eel Bay for a longer stay. Ski and snowshoe rentals available. Warm, crackling fire, hot beverages, exhibits and restrooms at the nature center. Marked trails of different lengths and difficulty. Non-skiers should bring their binoculars and cameras for a look at the birds. We joined a guided moonlight snowshoe (no moon) this past Saturday and had a blast. It truly is a fun activity for all ages and levels. Lots of ice fishing activity along Eel Bay. Park admission appears to be waived in the winter; donations at the nature center are appreciated. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to get your family out in the woods!

Been a staple of my life for decades. Skiing/snowshoeing in the winter, great place to hike in the summer and always great activities for the family. Staff is great and very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. They bring in local artists and conservationists for special events like stained glass making, birds of prey displays, concerts and fishing. A must for any time you are in the Thousand Islands!Short trip from A-Bay, Clayton or Watertown. No fee for the Nature Center but you have to pay to get into the Wellesley Island State Park ($7) and pay to get over the Thousand Island Bridge ($2.75).
