I have shopped here all my life and made a lot of friends with vendors and also meet up with friends and relatives here. It was always a good place, old time vendors are still great, but some of what I call "come and go vendors" are not. The parking situation is not the greatest major pot holes or mud, no macadam, no parking lines, people just park anywhere, blocking traffic, when there are spaces available. someone even hit and damaged my husbands truck and drove away without even leaving a note. I am seriously considering changing my marketing to the Fairground's Square Market Leesport is getting to crazy for me.

You have to be a Dutchman to truly appreciate this place! We are part of this community! Thank God and Jesus for a place that is still going strong after all these years!

The Leesport Farmer's Market is something I take for granted since I live nearby and have been going there for about 60 years. I'm not a "shopper" so I go when I want something, get it, and leave. I know what's there and don't do much looking around, but if you are into looking around it's a must see for you. And if it is your first visit, you really need to allow time to do a thorough search of the stands. It's really three markets in one. If you are interested in flea market stuff, go early on a nice day and you can amuse yourself for hours. That stuff is mostly outside without any roof. If you want livestock (or just want to see how an old time livestock auction works) go in the early afternoon. If you want produce, seasonal plants, and other fresh food, go about mid morning. Most of that stuff is under roof or in one of several buildings. Or you can spend the day and sample all three plus indulge at one or more of the "eating stands". It's one of those places where you can find almost anything you want if you look hard enough.

The Wednesday market is great for good buys on produce and meats. Makes me wish I would do more cooking! There's always tons of stands with "stuff" to peruse and discover.

We go for the flea market, mainly. A day with really great weather is your best bet as this brings out more venders. But, you must arrive early, because the vendors start tearing down by 11 am -12 pm. The last few years there are more flea market stands that are there every week as opposed to the stands that are cleaning out their garages/storage. Farm market vendors offer a wide range of produce, meats, antiques, hardware, a great coffee stand that will grind your coffee and has great tasting homemade pastries, books, household supplies, local honey and much more. There are lots of food stands to choose from, including sandwiches, hot meals, seafood, ice cream, fries, rotisserie chicken, pizza, drinks, etc. Plan to spend 2-5 hours and bring cash. Most vendors only take cash.

Open every Wednesday for the Farmers Market and Flea Market, it has been around since 1947. They also have live stock auctions on Wednesdays, yearly scheduled craft fairs and Sunday Flea Markets on the 1st and 3rd Sunday from April to December. We went on a Wednesday and had a great time and got some really good deals on produce and flowers. We also bought a few things in the flea market. I had not been here for a number of years and thoroughly enjoyed the day.We will be back!

Open every Wednesday. A very nice, fairly priced market that has many vendors on a nice day. Some areas are outdoor (open air flea mkt.) offering new and used merchandise and food, some booths are covered with a roof and there are indoor areas also. Quite a bit of walking, (with a little uphill incline in the back area). We enjoy this market, and the nice scenic ride coming here, especially in the summer. We live about two hours from here, but, well worth the trip.

Love going to the Farmers Market whenever I go near Leesport. Always lots of great fresh produce, baked goods and crafts. Many, many vendors to choose from and shop for the best prices. Great lunchtime food for sale too!

Always good deals to be had and fresh foods to bring home. Bring cash, most of the vendors take only cash and I think many who don't prefer it. I wish I could get it in my routine to go every Wednesday, it's worth it!

On a gorgeous day, this is the place to be. Wednesday is market day and vendors set up flea market type stands around the outside and there are inside areas for permanent vendors. Great fruits, veggies, meats, baked goods, etc. You can find just about anything here!

I only go here when the fruit and veggies are in season. Other than that, the place is pretty trashy. Lots of overpriced flea market items.

A place to go to when fruits and veggies are in season. There will be a plethora of foods to gather at great prices, more than you will know what to do with. Otherwise there is the basic chinese junk, outdated canned food stand, baked goods, country kitsch, moldy paperbacks, overpriced kitchenware, tons of meats, farm animals......I suppose something for everyone. Not the clean type of market, just wash everything you buy and use sanitizer when you leave.

Although the market is open year round, the best time to go is when fresh produce is in season. The parking can be difficult because many people come to buy and sell the "junk" at the flea market. The food market opens at 8 a.m. but many of the stands are not even open by then. On the other hand, the flea market stands open at 5 a.m. and many of the merchants are gone (thank goodness) well before noon. There is lots of fresh produce seasonally and in the inside stands there are meats, deli items, produce and baked goods year round. It's a fun place to spend a Wedesday morning. The Farmer's Market is only open on Wednesdays.

Lots of venders. Indoors, outdoors, and under a roof. Lots of venders with things for sale. Fruits and vegies too.
