What an indescribable wonderful place to go! From the chapel to the shrine its amazing. So peaceful and quiet. An excellent place for self reflection and prayer. The grounds are inviting and wonderful mature trees with the perfect park bench. Everyone is Welcome! Small history about Saint Katharine Drexel and her incredible story inside the Shrine. The Indian Prayer Basket at the shrine tells of an ancient tradition with the most honorable ending you can imagine. Kept to this day by the Sisters Of The Blessed Sacrament. A must see/do when you visit.

This is a good place to go to humble yourself and get in touch with the benefits of austerity, self sacrifice and introspection. The shrine is simple. The story of mother Drexel is told from her wealthy upbringing to her total revocation of all that to serve the poor "colored" and Indian people of her time. Her coffin is actually there, to say a prayer by.And the church/chapel has its own aura of sanctity. Just to it there in silence and contemplation will leave a mark on you.And if you've gone to the Casino a couple miles away, all the more reason to stop. The contrast is stunning and really brings you back to earth.Do make this a place to see, even if you already live in the area and just never got around to seeing it.You'll find yourself coming back for spiritual renewal more than once.

Take your time, relax, and soak up the atmosphere. Just sit in the museum and crypt area and let your mind wander wherever it wants to go. Very peaceful and spiritual.Staff and especially the gift shop staff are helpful and friendly. Hint: When buying a gift leave the small amount of change to be returned for the mission--You won't be sorry.I am not Catholic, been to many Indigenous sites, etc. There is spirituality here.

This tranquil sanctuary houses the tomb of Saint Katharine Drexel and a museum with artifacts from her life amid beautiful, peaceful surroundings. You could spend the better part of a day walking the grounds, praying and meditating. The Sisters and the people who staff the shop are wonderfully kind and helpful. If you're in the Philadelphia area, this is a great retreat from the busier, more heavily traveled sights--and the benefits of your visit are out of this world!

This shrine is a beautiful, peaceful retreat to go to visit and pray. The chapel is magnificent. The gift shop has really cute items reasonably priced. The outside grounds are nice. The history behind this saint makes you really think about your faith.

I went to the Shrine with my daughter's First Holy Communion class. I loved the tour and learning a lot about Saint Katherine. Now that I think about it, I need to go back. Maybe put together a class trip for my students...

Take a tour of the grounds and the shrine area. See Saint Katharine Drexel's Crypt and slao check out their gift shop. The people who volunteer make most of the gifts in ;there.

Beautiful, and peaceful grounds. There is a historic Chapel and the tomb of St Katharine Drexel. Tours are available as well as a gift shop offering religous and southwestern gifts.

There is meaningful history here, and you don't have to be Catholic to appreciate it. It's well-worth visiting the beautiful campus and learning about Mother Catherine and the work she did. I took visitors from out of town here and they enjoyed the experience.

It is a lovely place to go. The shrine is very spiritual. I go there to pray for my sick granddaughter . There are some very interesting items to purchase, some that are handmade from the Indian mission.
