70 South Van Buren Street | Nashville, Indiana 47448 | 812.988.6555We are season ticket holders for the Nashville Brown County Playhouse in Nashville, IN...this has been a family tradition for many years. The bottom line is....if it starts with "Tuna" it is a must see "it is, it is, it is". Ian McCabe was absolutely delightful & Blake White was amazing (and we see Ian McCabe frequently in other plays as well as Nora). Ian's mannerism's and facial expressions were absolutely fantastic! We are season ticket holders (as I have mentioned before, but it took me a cool minute to realize that it was Ian on stage)! We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED, it and hope that more Tuna is available next year like "TUNA Las Vegas" would be great!

Blake White and Ian McCabe played 20 fun and creative roles in this fast moving Christmas Eve drama. The dinner was very nice too!! Thanks for a great evening.

We just happened across the PlayHouse during our visit to Nashville. They had a movie matinee and our timing was perfect. The movie quality was excellent - you would not even know you were in a playhouse. It was a great addition to our day.

Went to see the play "Heroes" at the Brown County Playhouse. The play was terrific. Laughed a lot. The three gentlemen in the play were very good in their parts. The buffet before the play very good. All in all a good experience. Plan on going for another event in the future.

I was completely astounded by the quality of the dark Irish comedy, THE LONESOME WEST at Brown County Playhouse in Nashville, IN. We came expecting mediocrity and we're pleasantly surprised. Bravi to the entire company for doing this challenging script! LOVED the live incidental Irish music!

Very perplexed about this review, the good, the actors are truly amazing. Not the comedy that I was expecting but great acting none the less. This venue is decent, it needs a little updating but it works. Ok, now, the not so good. We went on Friday night to get tickets and we're told that the price for the play was $27 per person. I thought that was a little high for the experience. I was then told that the price included finger foods for dinner or snack. Ok, I guess this might be a good idea but why not offer it minus the food for like $18 to $20. I know that this would be a hassle controlling the food but it could be easily dealt with by having the folks who pay for the food given a commemorative bracelet. This would in Tice people that want the food and a bracelet to pay the extra amont. Just an idea. Give this venue a shot as the acting is great! It is highly rated for that reason!! Not for the finger food.

We went to see a comedy and had a wonderful time. There don't seem to be any bad seats. We sat in the middle, as seating isn't assigned. We ordered tickets in advance, on line, then picked them up at will call. We were there when they opened the doors so we could sit anywhere we wanted. There is an intermission. The play was outstanding. Due to the nature of this particular play, there were no elaborate sets or props. But you'd swear they were just where they said they were, in the old soldiers home in France. Do yourself a favor and take in a play at the Brown County Playhouse.

Dear Famiyfriendly12,We have now changed the wording regarding the language to Adult Language throughout. We agree that "some adult language" was not sufficient to convey the reality. We apologize for putting you in the difficult position of having your children present at this play without proper warning. Thanks to your review, we will be watching this more closely. Happy Fall from beautiful Brown County!

We had come to Nashville in celebration of my wife's birthday. The highlight of our first day there was the Brown County Playhouse. I had purchase tickets a while back for that night's production: “Whole lotta shakin’ a Piano Pumpin’ Rock n’ Roll Revue”. This was a nearly non-stop, almost two hour long, high-energy, performance by five very talented musicians playing mostly early rock n’ roll (late 40s & early 50s). They told of some of the history associated with artists like Ray Charles, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry as they played some of their hit songs. It was a great time! One note: One’s birthday can have the effect of making you feel “old”. But sitting in the audience tonight at the Brown County Playhouse produced the opposite phenomenon. It was not a big crowd - perhaps a hundred or so but we were part of the minority of “younger” folk there (and we are both 67).From the outside of the theater, I had assumed that it would be rather small. Once inside though, it looks much different - I would guess it would seat three or four hundred people. While I can't speak for any of the other things that go on at this theater, our time there was most enjoyable.

We visited the Playhouse this past weekend and really enjoyed the show. We will be coming back. Relax and enjoy the show. Dress casual..

We are delighted you enjoyed the performance. Seems many in our audience agree. You were lucky enough to happen in on our Merchant's Night, a free dress rehearsal night that is open to the community. The price for this show is $22 for adults and $19 for seniors, veterans, or students. The show is selling well so call ahead for tickets!

Loved the playhouse or theater. It's very small, so go visit it early in the day to see what is playing and get your tickets and then you can relax knowing you have a seat.

We spent just one night in Nashville as a little getaway and found this little theater very charming. We watched the Fault in Our Stars as a first run movie for only $5 per ticket. Love that there is a quality non- profit theater available in this great little town!

Steel Magnolia's they did a great job and we had a wonderful time. It just so happened that the night we went they had 'finger food' before the play and it was the first time in doing so. Ok small, nice theater (bring in big tour bus) and the show was not close to a sell out and they just could not handle the before 'finger food'. You know to meet finger food means 'light' eat before you come. Well it was mess to say the least! So leave the food to the restaurants - and please don't serve raw vegetables on a tablecloth, put on a plate.
