I have visited ALL the Greater St. Louis area casinos. Casino Queen DOES have the loosest slots; its employees are the friendliest; its food is very good and the most reasonably priced; promo (food, beverage, free play) is the most generous AND the food credit is good for the month instead of having to be used all at once..oh, AND did I mention...IT'S NONSMOKING. YAAAAY!! I live in O'fallon, MO and don't mind the drive at all to enjoy these perks. Casino Queen is my favorite area casino.

There wasn't much to do in St. Louis, but this Casino provided some excitement while nothing else to do. It was fairly big and they were doing some random drawings while you played. They also have several places to eat inside including a buffet. We didn't win big, but had a good time.

This was a nice casino. We won some money on the nickel slots. The drinks were a touch above average priced, but they were made to accommodate the extra dollars.

Nice smoke free casino. Employees were friendly, not anything like a previous review. Maybe that review was a wake up call. Would stop again.

I recently visited this Casino for the second time on a trip with my hubby and my parents. The Casino is older and has a good selection of table games, however it does not have the slot selection of games I prefer. The Wizard of OZ, the Willie Wonka, and the Sex and the City inter-active games I Love are not there. I think there were 1 or 2 of the Wizard of Oz slots only and they were taken with a line for people wanting to play them as well. So for me it was not that enjoyable. I also thought the buffet price was a little high for a Casino. The plus side is the Casino non-smoking which I did like because both me and my mother have issues around smoke. I think they need lees of the penny slots and more of the quarter inter-active slots machines.

Decent selection of slots and table games. $1 minimum bet at the roulette tables which was a welcome surprise!

It had a lot of the slot machines that we enjoy. Not the loosest, but I did come out about even. It is clean and smoke free, which is a huge bonus for us. I was surprised by how many higher priced slots there were, but still had plenty of penny slots for us to choose from.

I walked into this casino dreading all the cigarette smoke I would have to put up with, but, to my surprise......I did not smell any cigarette smoke!! I made a comment to my friend and said I was going to ask someone about the Fresh Air I was breathing!! I was told there was smoking rooms for cigarette smokers to use, just Not in the gaming area of the casino. For One Night Of gambling, I was able to really enjoy my entertainment and was able to breath Fresh Air....It was wonderful!!

Went to Casino Queen the other day and ran into an unprofessional employee. Went to the cashier cage and wanted to change the $5 bills the ticket redemption machine gave me into $20 bills. The cashier didn't say hi sir or anything. However, her supervisor standing behind her said "did you get those from the ticket redemption". No "sir" no "how are you". They proceeded to change the money for me but never said thank you or good luck like all other casino employees around the world. Then about 20 minutes later, I went back to change some $20 bills into $100 bills. A couple of hundreds worth of 20s were from the ticket redemption machine and the other 20s were from the bank. The cashier again didn't welcome me and after counting out $300 worth of twenties, she looked at her supervisor who said to me "were you gambling". Now remember, I was at the same cashier only 20 minutes earlier and there were only about 15 people in the casino and I didnt see anyone at the cashier cage before me.I said yes, I was. He then said they only can change $300 worth but if I was gambling they would do change all of it for me. I said yes, I was gambling. As the cashier continued to count, her supervisor again asked "Are you sure you were gamling?" I looked at him, took my players card out of my pocket and said yes. As I was putting it back in my pocket, he said "wait, let me see that". He then read the number out loud twice and went to computer where he put the number in to check and make sure I was telling the truth. Now remember, he nor the cashier EVER said "sir" to me or anything but having a piss poor, elitist attitude. When he was done checking, he didn't say anything to me but stared. I told him I don't like being called a liar. He said he didn't call me that. I said yes you did by checking the computer to see if I was telling the truth. I told him he was unprofessional and that I would never come back again. He said "good". Now, tell me, have you EVER had a casino employee treat you like this? I haven't and I'm 53 yrs old. I'm retired from the military, I dress nice, am clean cut so I do not look like a shady character.I filed a complaint with the casino and although someone from there called me, all they said was "sorry" and proceeded to tell me their policies. Now, the clincher to this whole incident. I'm white and the cage supervisor is black. I mention this because I watched him with two other individuals after me and he was courteous to them and friendly. Those other two were black also. I believe this supervisor has some issues and I told the casino person who called me that but they acted like they didn't care.I went to Ameristar Casino in St. Charles, and oh boy, what a HUGE difference in the professionalism and courtersy of their employees. If you go to St. Louis and gamble, go to Ameristar and avoid Casino Queen at all costs.Congrats Ameristar for what you're doing with your employees is commendable!

Nice Casino you can get good pictures of the Arch from the parking lot. They advertise looses slots was only there a short time more then doubled my money. Was a Smoke Free Casino.

Cherry_Wonderdog

A few hours after sunset, my son and I risked our lives walking over a dark, desolate bridge from St. Louis, Missouri to East St. Louis, Illinois -- which we later found out was the nation’s murder and crime capital -- in hopes of taking pictures of the arch from across the Mississippi. We stopped by Casino Queen which glowed eminently in the night sky and, to our surprise, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. First, the parking lot is lit brighter than a supernova, so if you ever get punched in the eye and lose a contact on the ground, you’ll find it in no time. Similarly, if you happen to venture across the train tracks in the only opening within 500 meters of the casino and pick up a dozen prickly burrs while scrambling across the brush to the banks of the Mississippi River, you’ll be able to identify them for easier removal once you get back to the casino parking lot – unless you get shot first. The guards at the Casino wouldn't let us enter the establishment because my son wasn't of age, but they were very pleasant and helpful, such as directing us to where we might take good pictures. One guard even gave us scissors to unscrew my son’s photo mount that was wedged onto his camera. During this time, we noticed a potpourri of unearthly looking characters driving up and entering the premises for an evening extravaganza. Slot machines were heard by all. And while we might never return, Casino Queen earns a five star rating for helping us get high quality photos during a night we’ll talk about for a long time.

Loose slots, table games, and NO SMOKING. The restaurant - Prime is outstanding. Accessible to St Louis, Light Rail station or secure parking

My wife and I decided to try out this casino across the Mississippi River from St. Louis. The facility is nice and having a smoke-free gaming area is a plus. Parking is easier than at the other area casinos. The casino appears to have around 1000 slot machines, with around 5% of the machines being out of service on the date of our visit. As far as the loosest slots, NOT EVEN! In fact, we have visited all of the casinos in the St. Louis area and these slot machines at the Casino Queen will suck you dry. I advise you to take a trip to Oklahoma and play at one of the many Native-American casinos. Not only will they give you some free play (normally $10) to start out your visit, they have looser slots than anything around St. Louis. We did not play any of the table games, so I cannot comment on them. We did not stay at the hotel or eat at the buffet, so I cannot comment on those features of the Casino Queen.TIP: If you are stuck with gambling in the St. Louis area, I recommend going to a different casino than the Casino Queen.
