This building is simply sublime. I used to live nearby and had a view of it from my flat. Everything about this building is beautiful and I particularly love the carvings and the stained glass. It is rarely busy and sometimes it is possible to do a rooftop tour.

An ancient and very large church which the town of Beverley was eventually built around. There's lots to see, and the staff are very helpful.I could not give it 5 stars simply because of the practical, but completely out of place modern chairs that filled the nave. I'm sure a better solution could have been found.

This Minster rivals York, you could spend hours just looking at the stone carving. The stained glass is exceptional too.

Interesting building and excellent tour of the roof with a very knowledgeable gentleman whose information was fascinating. Wonderful views from the wheel window over Beverley.

We called in at Beverley on the way home from a short East Yorkshire tour. We had positive memories of a previous visit some 20 years ago and are happy to report we were not disappointed this time round. Of particular interest to us at any rate were the great many medieval carvings, the absolutely corking modern stained glass "Pilgrim Window", the organ screen (good 'ole George Gilbert Scott 1) and the Military Monuments. We found the volunteer guides very welcoming, and loved the slightly random idea of the diy tea and coffee flasks, a lovely touch. Smashing. Do go there, don't expected anything too sophisticated and state of the art, just enjoy it.

My school harvest festival and carol services were held here. a story round every corner. As good as york and lincoln. Well worth a visit

A definite must see, better than York. The town is a lovely centre to walk round and many good places to eat

We visit often and always enjoy the experience. There are often events taking place. Singing in the choir is very worth while. The architecture is amazing and in good order.

We visited The Minster and dined at the "Shoppers Lunch" in the Parish Hall, (its once a month) excellent comfort food incredible value very welcoming people. Inside the Minster is breathtaking with lots of interesting things to see, Do take the roof tour if at all possible as some wooden construction dates back 500/600 years. Pay special attention to the tread wheel used to lift items up into the roof space.

The Minster was huge and warm feeling the stained glass windows were excellent. The carvings in the woodwork were second to none. The end door is carved and the bulls head was exquisite.

Awesome sights both outside and inside the Minster. For £3 you can officially take photographs - great value for some stunning photographs. A warm welcome by the Church staff.

The minster is just as good looking inside as outside, free entry which is always nice and the guides inside are always happy to chat and show you hidden things in the church. Lighting a candle for a loved one was a nice touch, a great attraction!

Whilst visiting Beverly we made a beeline for the cathedral. It did not disappoint. Luckily the organist was going through his paces, so we got to hear ...no feel the wonderful organ too. Unlike York Minster, there is no admission price, however donations gladly accepted of course. Relaxed without minders on every corner, so one could truly enjoy the experience and absorb the history and magnificence of the place.

Not really one for visiting churches, etc., but had driven past the Minster so many times that we decided to drop in when we had time over Xmas. The Minster is impressive inside and there are lots of guides around to talk to you about the history of the place. Christmas tree was pretty too! Wandered to the market afterwards and had a wander around the shops too. Made a nice afternoon overall.

I have been to Beverley loads of times but never entered the Minster. However, if like me you wouldn't normally consider going in a cathedral/church or minster then I would recommend you give Beverley Minster a go. Personally greeted on entry by a really pleasant chap which was a nice touch. Plenty of interesting facts available about the history once inside and there is even a shop. The wood carving around where the choir usually sing is amazing. Well worth a look.
