You could almost miss the passage Pommeraye if your not looking for it. Lots of nice quirky shops to look around as you walk up the very old marbled/stone stair case. You sense it's age by the way the stairs are naturally worn away by the thousands of foot steps that have walked up it over the years. The features and mouldings inside the building are really beautifully made by French craftsmen. Passage Pommeraye can be accessed either from the bottom road or top road hence the reason it is noted as a "passage". It is in the centre of Nantes where there are also many independent boutiques and restaurants. If you are in the centre of Nantes it's worth a visit!

I have to say I didnt expect much of this hotel before we arrived. So surprised! The location is superb in the middle off shopping , near the tram and cafes and restaurants. The hotel is quirky , clean and comfortable. The staff are super the breakfast fresh not plastic. ANd plenty of it to go around. Very relaxed about breakfast time, room service and checkout time. A great find . I will be back

I am sure this small shopping arcade across several floor was once a jewel but today it bears no resemblance to pictures in my guide book about Nantes. The stunning gilded ceilings in photographs are now a dull cream. Shops are independent but none contained special or luxury goods as expected. Other than a shoe shop that was on sale there was little to entice us into the shops. Quite a few shops were closed or empty as the arcade is undergoing refurbishment. It didn't take long to work our way through the arcade. Fortunately it is surrounded by a lot of upmarket stores particularly with fashion goods.

I visited on April 12 and it was under a big construction...

Small shopping arcade, small shops and boutiques, but nothing that exciting in a nice area near Place Royal and it's lovely fountain, closed on Sundays.

Great arquitecture, it is definitely worth a stop by if you are in Nantes. Not so much for shopping, although there are some interesting places in the gallery itself. Many shops nearby, walking distance from the chateau

Hermes is there. Also, a lovely shop where you can buy macarons a the bottom of the passage, on the left. There are appartments upstairs, so take note!

This shopping mall is one expensive place to shop...prices to shock! The building itself is awesome, well worth a look and some photos, lotsa other shops & cafe/bars around, some "bargains" if you want to have a real good look.Nice stroll round this area though, and never any pressure to buy anything as is the case in so many countries, very rarely you might get a flower-seller walking round the cafe/bars,also entering restaurants, this is only on rare occassion though

This Passage is well worth a visit, with beautifulshops and stunning archiecture. You could spend alot of time in here, taking in the eclectic mix of shops and products for sale. There are chocolate shops, clothes shops and gift shops to name but a few.Lovely experience.

Having read some reviews on TripAdvisor before arriving in Nantes, I figured there wasn't a lot I'd be missing if I walked past it. Which is why I'm glad my partner dragged me in, because the architecture alone was worth a look. The shops in there are eclectic; aside from clothes and chocolate a few boutiques sold lifestyle items that make great presents. I'm stumped as to describing exactly what that means, so give an idea, I walked out of the gallery having bought a lego calculator that only performs the four basic operations, a bread stamp for the image of the Eiffel Tower on your toast. If I had more money I would have walked away with a bar fridge and a telephone shaped like a skull too. Completely useless things that you buy because it's amusing (maybe it says something about my own shopping habits).Worth taking a look, there's nothing to lose. Since it's an arcade, you can walk in one end and straight out the other if you really don't like it.

You just have to visit this little 'arcade' for a piece of nostalgia with a bit of quirkiness thrown in. The passage is beautiful with gleaming, well worn wooden stairs and wonderful shop fronts (take time to look closely at them) and shops catering for most people. Well worth finding.

Perhaps I had too high of expectations but this attraction just didn't do much for me. It is pretty inside but I did not find the shops or the overall feeling of the place that interesting. Felt rather cold and boring. If you come across it then walk thru... I wouldn't make a special trip to see.

Beautiful architecture, peaceful location and gorgeous little shops ranging from Hermes to the best little chocolate shop anywhere!
