是指威尼斯的北边较大的地区,火车站就在这个地区。有Campo del Ghetto、Santa Maria di Nazareth、Madonna dell'Orto、Ca'd'Oro等景点。除了连接火车站和圣马克广场的主要道路之外,游客不算多。可以享受人少悠闲、舒畅的威尼斯。

LOVED wandering around this area. Felt like I was in Maze Runner at times--the little alleyways, doorways, winding back and forth and all around. Loved the small stores and shopping, the quaint bars and restaurants. Will definitely be back.

This area is a great place to wander and try some real bars and restaurants. Great walks through the back streets give you an alternative view of venice

Has a lot of nice shops and restaurants to check out, but also peaceful areas where you can escape tourist mania and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Honestly just the best of both worlds.

Walk and get lost, see how the real locals interact. It hosts the only place where you can actually see more than canals. Has a nice view of the airport, Mestre, sunsets. It also has different fun and local places to go and eat or have a drink, dance, have kosher food or a good pizza!

staying in Venice that weekend, and every church had every bell ringing at 9am, loved it! What an appropriate way for the city to begin that day!

20minutes away by walk from San Marco sqaure.. we were 6 minutes away from the Casino .. not too crowded.. many shops in the main road.. restaurants .. i would suggest Cannaregio for lodging especially in the carnival period.

This area of Venice was actually the first Jewish Ghetto anywhere. Sad as it is to think that, there is so much history steeped here that it is not to be missed

It is less crowed and spolied by tourists. Everytime I went in the streets in the backyards I discovered intersting old buildings, nice shops and lovely restaurants.

Where the "regular" people live. No grand mansions, but lots of history. The first Jewish ghetto anywhere. And a great place to search out non-touristy restaurants

A mass tourism area with very poor infrastructure....only very expensive restaurants and shops and overcrowded streets. If you want to take a coffee you cannot even sit down. The locals are rather unfriendly and the hotels are expensive and do not meet the modern standards.

audrao2015

Lively, happening area with plenty of restaurants, cafes, tabacchi, local goods and souvenir street stalls and shops. Post office is also here, about 200 metres down the road from the train station. Also caught the grand opening of the Carnavale di Venezia 2015 here!

Lovely, clean, bustling area with shops, restaurants, bars and picturesque canals. Nice to escape all the crowds of the main tourist area at the end of the day.

As Americans, we are used to bars with stools, which are hard to come by in Venice. The Irish Pub was a welcome discovery... off the Ca D'Oro Vaporetto stop, around the corner from the only McDonald’s in Venice! Easy to find once we knew where it was! We sauntered in and met the bartender, who was also the owner, Rocco. My husband tried a Leffe and I had a Kilkenny. Delicioso! We went back each of the three days that we were in Venice.
