mannheimer wasserturm parken

The Wasserturm was located very close to the hotel we were staying at so we passed and walked around it a number of times during our stay. We were on the approach to Fastnacht so there was a large carnival wheel, other rides and food stalls to the front of the tower. Behind the tower the park was open and inviting and was clearly visited regularly by locals of all ages.

I had heard this was a just see in the summer but our travel didn't line up so we saw it in December. It was a great little spot to take some pictures and I can see how it would be even better when the fountains were full and the greenery in its full glory.

The decorations and stalls for the Christmas Markets in this park really gave you a sense of childhood wonder... a carousel and Ferris wheel with the atmosphere of the timber stands just added to our Christmas fun.

There are not too many structures to see in Mannheim but this one is pretty good for the lovely photos that you can get from all around the top of the tower. Lots of people around all the time , but this is ok considering the open spaces around it.

Visited in late October after dark. The building is nicely lit up, and the grounds are well maintained with lovely flowers. The fountains have all been drained, which was unfortunate. It does seem that young people congregate to hang out, smoke, etc in the evening, which could make some uncomfortable. Security was not discreet at all about watching these groups, so there must be issues at times. Overall, a nice place to stop at while in Mannheim.

I spent a week in Mannheim with some friends for vacation. This area is really peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing in general. It was a nice place to sit down and people watch for a bit. Lots of locals and tourists walked through the area. There are numerous restaurants and stores within walking distance from here (Markplatz and Paradplatz). Every time I walked past this park, I felt like I had to take yet another picture. Check it out.

Gorgeous city park with a spectacular fountain and flowers. Nice to walk around with many photo opportunities everywhere you turn! Very beautiful lamp posts. Overall quite well done and enjoyable.

I was there for an hour or so, is perfect for walking or going to relax and watching the fountains. I really enjoyed it.

It is a reply great place. You can tell by just looking at it.As a party of only 1 I could not get an English spoken tour to find out the history behind it but enjoyed it regardless.

This is the nicest area in Mannheim. The park has several green spots, water and several wild rabitts!An exellent place to spend an evening with friends, your partner or solo!

We planned one day in Mannheim for a short visit. The water tower is recommended by anyone you'd ask so we visited too. The front of the tower faces the inner city but the most beautiful site is the backside with the flowers and fountains. The surroundings are well maintained and make a great photo spot.

Beautiful park right in the middle of the city. Does not cost a thing which is always a plus ! It's well kept, despite the graffiti all over.

It's a nice place to go and sit around behind the tower near the fountain. In summer it's really crowded. Usually there are a lot of fairs and festivals happening at this place, depending on the time of the year. Overall it's a nice place.
