Very interesting street with a lot of souvenir shops. I had a pleasant time to talk with a shop master.

My favorite walking street in Kiev. Magic atmosphere with old macadam, a lot of hand made shops, cozy cafes. Nice place to spend weekend day.

As for me the best and most comfortable place in Kyiv. Lots of sightseeing places, restaurants and museums.

Андріївський Узвіз is a fabulous experience if you enjoy looking at a beautiful church, shopping from souvenir stalls, and buying the odd coffee out of the back of a van. I spent a month in Kyiv and regularly popped down the Descent to find a few odd bits of things to take home. It's a descent: a steep hill, very long, cobbled. Not for the unsteady.Verdict: unmissable.

if you have never been here you must visit that! You can buy here a lot of souvenirs and it's a good way to start explore Kiev, and take pictures of beautiful capital of Ukraine. It's so close to different destinations like St Andrew's Church and museums, restaurants, gallery. It's a quiet street without cars.

Plenty of craft stalls, a great cafe near the bottom, and the Bulgakov House museum around the middle.

This is an interesting walk up or down depending where you start. Great place to buy souvenirs for friends and family back home!!Near the stop is St Andrews.........My FAVORITE Church in Kiev!

This is an interesting walk either up or down hill in a very historic part of the city. Lining the streets are stalls selling all sorts of items ranging for good quality pictures to some absolute tat. However it is a great place for hunting out souvenirs. When I was there it was very steep and slippery in the ice so beware !

This is an old historical area in Kyiv. Every building there has its own story and now many of them are having artists' studios inside. In the area you can buy different Ukrainian souvenirs or paintings. On the top there is a St. Andrew's Church. Along the street there is a lot of pubs/bars/cafes etc. It also has a few of theaters, galleries and museums on it.Tip for tourists: The pavement is historical (the stones are a few centuries old), I don't advice going alone on heels down the street. The stones may be slippery if it is snowy or rainy weather, so watch your step. And if you are a senior or with children I do advice you to go downhill not uphill there. You can get on the top of the hill by funicular.

Sure, this is a tourist trap. Sure, there are some Chinese made products.Sure, you may have a heart attack if you walk all the way up this hill.In the end though, you will find all your souvenir needs met here for reasonable prices.

It is a historic descent connecting Kyiv's Upper Town and the historically commercial Podil neighborhood. The street is called as the "Montmartre of Kyiv". Here you can buy souvenirs and enjoy lots of paintings, handcrafted items, embroideries

This is probably a must see for the tourists who come to Kiev to get their fill of the tourististic memorabilia. The whole street is lined with some good and some very bad art works, crafts, and old soviet memorabilia. If you are interested in getting some old soviet army medals, statues, and other tourist type things, this is the best place to go. Not because they are any good, but because you have the most variety and choices to pick from. The street itself is worth the visit as you can feel like you are in Kiev walking from the highest point to the lowest area of Podol. Along the way you will encounter some nice cafes and some very good art shops. Once you get to the bottom of the street you are in Podol area and this is worth walking around as well. Here are some very good restaurants. This is the real old Kiev of the late 1800s and it is still pretty well preserved. Once you get to the bottom and walk around you can come back up to the top by the funicular which is nearby or take a subway. Be sure to visit some of the subway stations and they are interesting as well.

I remember that Andrivskiy uzviz many years ago was much more art place than it is now.In our days less and less real authentic Ukrainian artist are present here. More and more different Chinese products. But any way Andriyivsky will be always Good place to visit.
