We visited as part of a trip to see the Penguins. The estancia is a wonderful step back in time. The countryside is astounding. The tearoom is quaint with lots of history about the estancia which was great. The museum of marine biology is fantastic and was a real surprise

We went there for visiting our friends, the penguins.Probably you will not ever meet such a good creature. Well, maybe dogs, but this is different. However, to go to see the penguins you go thru this Estancia Haeberton. I told them they do not know what they really have over there. It is a beautiful place that deserve the thousand pictures you want to take while you are there....

We took an excursion with PIRA TOUR to go see penguins in their natural habitat. They take you on a half a day tour that lasts approx 6 hours. It is not cheap, but for us it was worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable & outgoing. We enjoyed going by boat to see the Penguins right at the island where they go to fulfill their reproduction function during the season. To get there you go by boat but before, you must go in a bus for approx.1.5 hours. Make sure you take your winter gear because it gets really cold & windy & sometimes it rains for a while. We also stopped at the Harberton Museum which used to be an Estancia years ago & now is a research place that holds an exhibition of bones belonging to sea animals. The tour guides are very knowledgeable on the topic but it is more information that could be learned in a 15-20 min. guided tour. You can get considerably close to the Penguins & take lots of photos. The road trip to Harberton offers beautiful views & scenery.

This place is unlike any place I've been to. It was the first Estancia (Ranch) on the island and they've preserved just about everything. There are so many cool little things on the ranch and also a restaurant. Everything you need for a great afternoon. Pairs GREAT with a boat tour of the Beagle Channel, which can dock right at the ranch.

From this place you navigate towards "La Pinguinera". Be aware that the only agency that can let you walk among the penguins is the one called "Pira Tour". All others just navigate around tha place where the penguins are and do not allow you to land.

This was an interim stop for us on our way to see the Penguins. It had good coffee and pastries, but not much else to offer in terms of viewing.

Beautiful remote place. We took a tour around Estancia, and it was interesting. There's also a marine fauna museum, highly recommended!

This is an Estancia that was gifted to an Anglican Missionary couple in the mid-1800s. It was an operational cattle / sheep ranch until an extremely cold winter killed most of the livestock in the mid-2000s. There is a decent tea house, bathroom facilities, and an interesting bone museum.

Story interesting, very full and enjoyable museum with expert guides who perform spoken exposure. Adapted Boating, safe and suitable for transporting small groups. Guides while walking among the excellent preparation and complimentary penguins. Highly recommend it.

It was almost the worst place we have ever visit in our trip over the argentine patagonia. Extremely bored. Really good service by their employees, expensive and bad meals!

Most people go for the Penguins and would be included in that. We did the walk with Piratour which got us extremely close penguins. It was such a cool experience. Worth the price and was a great memory. The Estancia also has an awesome marine museum, and the student who was our guide and host was awesome. I would have loved to spend more time in the museum, it was so cool.

First of all, I don't think this place is advertised as well as it should. There is so much history in it! Definitely worth a visit. Our tour guide around the estancia (Lucia) was very passionate and knowledgeable. We visited many areas including the Casa de Te, Establo, Huerta, Carpintería, and last but not least, their own Laboratory/Maritime Museum, where we were guided by an equally passionate and knowledgeable guide (Angi). They even have a Restaurant we could eat our packed lunches in (though you can also order from their own kitchen). Everything is so well kept and everyone was very nice!

The Tour organized from PIRA TOUR (the only one authorized) is excellent. A wonderful experience if you wont to see the pinguins.

Excellent visit, we arrived by boat and had two excellent tours of the Estancia by the staff. Both were very knowledgable about the history of the place and the sea life surrounding the areaWell worth a visit
