The plaza has been the cleanest and nicest presented square we have seen in Bolivia. The University environment and younger population most likely contributes to the atmosphere.

Over the "carnaval" holidays I witnessed people's behavior from maybe the 15th century. Very very dangerous feel given so many drunk people. After the holidays you can enjoy the sun and an overall peace

The plaza is very well taken care of. A lot of detail is pit into the plants around the plaza. There are lots of benches. A lot of older indigenous Bolivians walk around begging for money.

I spent most of my time in Sucre wondering here. It is not a big Plaza, but so nice and welcoming, there is people from all parts of the world, going along together with locals. Just sit, relax and observe. You will learn a lot while having fun.

Very nicely manicured plaza with BEAUTIFUL BUILDINGS around it, BUT it is full of cute little children who are “forced” to work selling different things, shining shoes or just begging. It is heart breaking to see the “rich children” with their parents enjoying the day playing around, driving little children cars, or just relaxing and little “street children” looking at them with most likely wish that they could do the same. This plaza is NOT the place to relax or read a book as that would be almost impossible as not ONLY children are approaching you but also adults who are begging or “aggressively” trying to sell things. It is very hard for me deal with people begging and saying how hungry they are… CAN’T GIVE EVERYBODY  Also plaza and surrounding area have VERY STRONG SMELL OF URINE.

A good place to sit down and relax after lunch. Nice architecture and lot of coffe shops and icecream stores. Very safe to a night walk.

The plaza is a relatively quiet square in the heart of Sucre. The local people treat it with care and there are very few signs of vandalism or graffiti here. There are the usual squadrons of pigeons but no food is permitted to be sold for them. Lots of shade and it is really possible to sit quietly and watch the world go by.

I was fortunate enough to be in Sucre just before Christmas and this place was just magical. They had strings of lights like waterfalls across the paths and lovely illuminated angels. The square is lovely anyway but this just made it extra special. It's the hub of Sucre and full of bustle with people relaxing, walking, selling stuff etc and when I was there several musical performances too. There are some lovely buildings around it but, in my opinion, the best restaurants are on side streets.

This is the center of the City of Sucre. There are many street vendors, locals and tourists alike. Definitely a must see in the City of Sucre although you would be hard-pressed to avoid it.

It will be complicated any way to not go through the square if you visit Sucre... Most shops, hotels and restaurants are located in the streets around the square.Worthwhile to pick up a hotel close to the square

Me and my boyfriend stayed in the square in the afternoon and it was delicious. We could see a bit how people use and enjoy the square and appreciate the beauty of the place. A perfect place to relax.

City Center. All things are around there.. main stores, restaurants, the Cathedral. It's always full of people, beautiful place.

Fantastic place to sit down and relax, I liked it very much when Bolivian Students came next to me and practice their English. The builidings in the surroundings are perfect to see from the main square. If your shoes are dirty, make a walk around, and look for Luis, always interesting to speak with him, even when my shoes are clean. Un buen lugar para relajarse y disfrutarse.Enjoy

The main square of sucre is full of street vendors, children playing, and comfortable benches to relax on or read a book. The heart of town surrounded by the spectacular colonial architecture

Great place to arrange to meet friends. During the nights there are usually youths having dance battles or bands playing in the square. The greenery is surprisingly well taken care of, if a little inaccessible due to the fences. Lots of benches around for chilling and reading a book during the day time. Plenty of events happen in and around the square and you can count on seeing a parade or two holding up traffic around the square. Was only a little dodgy sometimes when a tourist or two might approach me asking if I knew where to score some coke/drugs. It was mostly a wholesome place for youths and families to hang out, even at night.
