This is virtually a travel through time and process in an old sugar farm. Not pretentioous but showing things as they were and how they developed. Combine this with na awsome piece of culture manged in park quality and you have a super experience. Price performance is very good, but be prepared that transport to the place may be little expensive as you will need to rente car or take taxi.

I am from this beautiful city. In all this years I've never seen before this marvellous museum. Full of interesting facts but specially with amazing landscapes and water architecture. Try staying behind the crowd to listen to the rumour of the river . inspiring, enjoy

The Meseo de la Caña de Azucar was a very inteesting contrast of the old and the beautiful. The gardens where amazing and the history of how sugar cane evolved in Colombia was interesting. I little out of the way but worth the trip.

If you come to Cali, this is a place you must visit. Sugar cane have been linked to el Valle since the colony. The museum is located at the Hacienda Piedechinche. It is one of the most beautiful sugar cane haciendas in the Valle del Cauca. The location is gorgeous, the gardens are very well kept . The garden is built in a way, that gives you and idea of how is the vegetation in the different states of Colombia. You can also learn , how the sugar industry began and how it developed through the years. You can't come to Cali and not to visit this beautiful location.

This was a spectacularly beautiful garden. Everywhere there were little channels of water flowing. You always heard water gurgling. It is just beautiful. The old historical hacienda is also very much worth the visit. You must visit this mueum when you are in Cali.

This is a beautiful location near Cali. It is worth the time for a relaxing visit. The grounds are kept very well and the look into the past of the local area was enjoyable. If you can get the local sugar cane drink, you have to try it.

It is estimated that the house of the hacienda was built in the eighteenth century at the end of the colonial era.It offers Ballroom and restaurant with typical Colombian food. This farm museum transports us to the beginnings of the sugar industry in Colombia. Good place to know a little about the history and taste typical food of the region.

you would not only get a glimpse on what sugar-cane production is like, but you will journey through most of the different regions in colombia, along with some of its fauna and flora - a great initiation or review if you happen not to be too familiar with the tropics...

I thought we were lost! Long drive down a dirt road, but we finally arrived. It was interesting and you will be told all about the sugarcane processing. The grounds are magnificent. 100's of different plants and trees. It is quite a ride from Cali. I went by taxi, but you can book a tour to the place from what ever city you are departing from. Overall, it is an average tour.

Sugar Cane Museum is more park then a museum. Our local friend was very excited to show us this nice museum, on outskirts of the city. However, after 2 hours of the car ride, few missed turns and directions from the locals we finally found it. Its located in the base of the mountains and represents local sugar cane farming industry throughout the history. Its a nice walk with lush greenery and few historic artifacts scattered along the path. For a non speaking visitor, this was a shot in the dark. I was clueless what was going on and what am I looking at. No description was provided on any of the sightseeing points. The main house was the highlight of the visit as its a original plantation building from the 2 centuries ago. The museum was guarded by the heavily armed military (?) so I felt safe and relaxed. Not far from the museum, one must visit the local restaurant Siga La Vaca Parilla in Santa Lena.

Very informative; brings you back in time. This place gives you an excellent idea of the region's economic strength in agriculture and the whole process in the sugar cane industry. Must visit.

Here you will see the corner stone of the XIX and XX century progress of the Valle del Cauca region. The museum is some hours driving from Cali but it is really worth the trip.I am not sure if there are english speaking guides on the place so I recommend you to call first if you need this service. I guess the local tourist agencies can help you with info.

How the native indians made many articles and gold artifacts. We rode around in a Taxi but that is when we found we could have used the MIO Transit Bus system to save money. We noticed the North area is the more beautiful as far as Homes and Hillside properties. The middle of the city is mostly Condominiums and apartments close to shopping centers like Unicentro for one and the LA 14 shopping centers. They are great centers and very modern.
