After having passed by Cornwall several times en route to the Northern motorway , I felt it would be a disservice not to savor a Day on the Green. Auckland is littered with wondrous parks laced throughout their residential suburbs and communities and you be glad to know, NO LITTER ! Their is a plural appreciation from Kiwis and their visiting counterparts toward the land, the parks, the beaches -everything. Pet friendly and clearly posted whether on leash or off leash options one can enjoy a tranquil, oxygenated experience here. You may not be in a hurry to leave.

Drive up or walk up one tree hill in Cornwall park , an extinct volcano that towers over the outskirts of Auckland to get the most amazing views you can imagine . The panoramic views are outstanding and breathtaking and as far as the horizon allows .

The park was very nice, the trees were beautiful. But the toilets were the worst I've ever seen. They stunk, pee all over the floor and just plain disgusting.

We loved Cornwall park, beautiful area with so many specimen trees, so peaceful and great to have a walk around. Visit one tree hill when you are in Cornwall park.

Wow, having just moved to Auckland what a pleasure to find this park so early. Manicured, lush green bounds at the base with plenty of parking, good walkways and sheltered nooks and crannies. The climb up to One Tree Hill was a good uphill push that got the heart racing or you can drive up if you prefer. From there the 380 degree panorama around Auckland City was magical with a few informative panels also. A few more would be good marking out the landmarks. We returned down through the tracks that Criss cross the farmed pastures of the hillside and found agree with a magnificent vista where we felt we were all alone in the city. Finally you must finish the experience with a Rush Munroe ice cream cone from the cafe, arguably the best NZ ice cream. I couldn't resist the chocolate mint but next time gin and lemon flavour is going to be devoured!n so all in all if you want a vigorous workout, relaxed stroll on the flat, romantic picnic, vistas to show off the city or a family picnic you can't go wrong here.

We live adjacent to Cornwall Park so we are biased. But our guests love waking to the noises of sheep or cows in the distance. It is THE place to walk one's dog or walk or run or cycle under the trees. You can have a BBQ's and picnics and listen to bands on the weekends

One of my favorite places in Auckland. Scenery is fantastic, you can have a BBQ anytime of the week, do your morning running routine (it's aprox 3kms one circle) or find your own tree to sit under and read a book. Lots of car parks, but be aware that they close main gates quite early in the evening.

We had friends over from America for the first time in New Zealand. We enjoyed Cornwall Park the views and the prettiness of grounds. Some of the shapes of the way the trees have grown were wonderous!

Terrific views from the volcano crater. Beautiful tree lined roads, sheep area, archery yard. A nice park and great views of the city. Don't go up to the space needle for the views, go to the various volcanoes in the area.

Huge green space in the middle of the city..Lovely gardens, sheep and cow pastures along with a myriad of trails.

Cornwall Park is an absolute must see. A fully operational farm in the heart of the city spread around a dormant volcanic cone with 360 views of Auckland from it's summit. Wonderful trees, gardens, lawns and plenty of places to picnic or BBQ. All ages enjoy this park and it is always being enjoyed by such a wide range of people of all nationalities.

I regularly visit the park after work, with all the other runners, for some after work down time. There is parking at the top if you're short on time and really just want to see the views of the city, ocean and Rangitoto, from the top. The whole park is worth a wander. There are gas BBQs at a couple of entrances and some rotundas to eat under. The Stardome Planetarium is also based inside the park, right beside a huge kids playground. Plenty to do after work and on the weekends.

This is most likely the very best park in central Auckland. Great views of Auckland spread before you from the top of One Tree Hill, a great place to take the family for a picnic or just to ride your bikes and scooters,or kick a ball around.A wonderful walking track or a place for a pleasant stroll.A great place to just be!!!
