I have travelled many places in the world, and it takes something really exceptional to make my jaw drop as far as it did when I walked into the first chamber of the Fairy Cave. It was like a sene out of a fantasy movie, only far more breath-taking. I still cannot believe the pure, natural beauty and the awesomeness of nature that greeted me there. The rest of the cave is equal part spectacular and fascinating. I cannot say enough positive things about this attraction. It is a must-see, and visiting it should be on every nature-lover's bucket list. A few tips: First, you can go on your own, but it is much better with a guide. I highly recommend James of Kuching Caving, who probably knows this cave better than any other person alive. A guide may be able to help with the cave administrators, who can be a bit tricky. We arrived in late January to see a sign saying the caves were closed due to flooding in the area... Which is odd considering they are a couple hundred feet up the cliff face. A quick call from our guide cleared things up and soon after we were on our way. Second, bring a torch (flashlight) and a helmet, if possible, as well as good boots. The footing can get slippery, and there are several opportunities to hit your noggin. Lastly, bring at least a litre of water: there is a lot of climbing involved, although they do have a good system of stairs, and it does get quite hot and humid on the cave. Dehydration is a real risk.

What a pity! Drove all the way from Kuching to find a sign at the cave entrance saying that due to flooding the Wind cave and the Fairy cave are closed. Better call before you go there!

We were staying in kuching and decided to go on a little trip as we heard this place was nice. We took a local bus to the town nearby and enjoyed and a taxi from there to the caves. It's a big cave with quite a bit to explore and some nice views alongside a cliff.

Quite a nice cave. There are some steep (and dark) steps when you first entered the cave. But it is worth it. A beautiful and stunning scenery is waiting for you. Just note that please bring sport shoes and torchlight with you.

Once you are inside the cave center , only then you feel like you have achieved something. Make sure wear a good anti slip shoes and be healthy

It's a large, impressive cave. Can be reached by lots of stairs and climbing. Interesting chambers inside

The cave is 45min drive from the city. Stair to 4 floor to entrance. Couple of steeps again inside. But inside is very nice. So many natural architects. Looks like planed. Very nice. Must have torch light.

Nothing really new or fascinating. It is more for the Buddhist, I think.Or if you simply enjoy nature. We stopped by this place on our way to Serikin - where locals sell their goods at an affordable price.

We went to the Fairy Caves as part of a cycling and caving tour through Paradesa Tours. This was the BEST cave and a huge highlight of our trip as a whole. The stairs to and in the cave are not for the faint of heart, this sight must be earned, but it truly satisfies!

Tour guide was very good. The place was pretty empty, so you had a nice cave experience. In general I found the English in Kuching to be better than Singapore, so we got all our questions answered and then some...discussions on Sarawak politics was especially interesting.

From the entrance of the park, visitors need to climb up to 4-5 storey staircase to the entrance of the cave. From the entrance, there were wooden staircases that formed a trail into the cave but not all in good form due to humidity and wood tends to rot due to moisture. However, the view in the cave was fantastic! The entrance was only RM1 but the journey to the cave was painful. The road signs were misleading and not complete. Strongly recommend to have a tour guide or engage a driver to bring you here, unless, you wish to get lost and wondered to Indonesia as the cave located near the borderline of Kalimantan.

Once you arrive at the Fairy Cave, you have to climb a tower to the actual cave entrance. Then after a few more stairs, the cavern opens up into a vast and impressive chamber. Climb to the top to the lookout and search around for the fairy statue. In the chamber above and behind the fairy statue, you'll notice some ticker tape on the ground. It's supposed to be sectioning off a dark part of the cave. If you're feeling adventurous, bring a torch and carefully explore the forbidden section of Fairy Cave. The view when you pop out the other side... it's worth it.

There are lots of stairs to gain entry into the body of the cave but when you get there it is quite impressive. Some of the steps can be quite slippery. It would be beneficial to take a good torch into the cave with you.Worth the effort to gain entry but take your time to enjoy the view once you get there.

Compare with Wind Cave, the Fairy Cave is more challenging and fun. The sloping stairs inside the cave is one of the special part of it.We went to the cave with a local guide, explained the history and the formation of stalactites while climbing inside. Not many bats inside, as the day we went were a rainy day, the water fell from the top of the cave form a very beautiful scene.

This cave is just like the dragon palace for chinese or the home for the fairy. It is extremely beautiful and you will me surprise if you know how is the formation of the cave.
