This place is good for a short stop over and for picture taking. Not much to see but a landmark in Camiguin.

The big cross is the landmark. We explored, we climbed to the top. There was a staircase within and a nice experience for a photo souvenir in this adventure. We crossed from the shore to this landmark. We really enjoyed this tour.

It's indeed one of the most interesting (and yes, awesome!) landmarks of Camiguin - even without doing snorkel. Since the sunken cross is the only attraction, one hour is more then enough for your stay.

It is probably Camiguin's most famous landmark. The niches are taken out and the sunken cross was the only thing left throughout the cemetery. You can do snorkeling on your way to the giant cross situated a few 20 meters across the shore.

The view was interesting. We were not able to do snorkling but I was told that it was an interesting view at the bottom when one gets to do this. Maybe next time we visit we can see what is in the bottom of the water swamped area.Guide and bangkero were pretty accommodating and knowledgeable about the area and its history

Our group of 10 or so caught a Bangka boat from the mainland across to the Sunken cemetery, which is the only way across. There isn't much to see on the cemetery itself, but the view back to the mainland is beautiful and it is a great place for a photo op. You wouldn't spend more than half an hour here, but you could probably swim and do some snokerleing here as well. I definitely recommend a visit

I love everything Camiguin but Sunken Cemetery can be disappointing. Maybe because I visited this place before with those crosses - really a sunken cemetery. Now, it is hyped, complete with vendors and what can you do there? Just photo op..I hope they will promote the snorkeling and just taking these silly photos.

Unfortunately we visited on a day of terrible weather, so couldn't do much more than look at the cross. We were told that snorkelling was good at the site but in poor weather, and poor visibility this was out of the question. Even the tacky souvenir sellers were kept confined due to the weather.

Just for have a look at the cross I wouldn't visit the place, but for snorkeling it's an amazing place. Tons of corals just under the surface and also a lot of small fishes, we even saw a a sea snake and giant clams. For snorkeling you have to hire a guide on the otherside of the road and pay an environmental fee. It was 350 PHP in total for two. (without gear) They provide a shower after snorkeling.

The Sunken Cemetery is a memorial to the lives lost during the 1871 volcanic eruption of Mount Vulcan, and sits on top of a cemetery that was swallowed by the sea during that eruption. It's quite a sight, a large cross just off the coast, and arrangements can be made to reach the monument. One can also snorkel, but we just stayed on the shore. There are a number of souvenir shops at the entrance.

Although a shrine to those that lost lives - this is very much a tourist attraction and photographic opportunity. There are a number of tacky gift shops on the approach to viewing this memorial.

Sorry I do not like snorkeling that much but a lot of people love to snorkel to see the old cemetery which was taken by the sea half a century ago.

It's a cross, but believe me the main attraction for me was our guide. :)There was a cemetery underneath and it sank because of an earthquake brought about by the explosion of Mt. Hibok-Hibok. It would have been better if we were able to go scuba diving to appreciate the sunken cemetery better. The new cross was just built for attraction/marker purposes (I believe it was built late 1990s). It is a great opportunity for picture-taking. Especially with the great expertise of our boatman/camera man/creative director. He knows a lot of photo tricks and great expressions that will surely put a smile on your face. We came around noon. They say it would have been better to come around sunset for a more magnificent picture. Anyways, it was nice.We paid 100 pesos for the boat ride to the cross (back-and-forth).
