We had a short visit to the city and had visited the usual tourist highlights. This food tour gave us real insight into the real life in this city.we travelled in a Tuk Tuk through the vibrant streets, met and ate with the locals.Ducky is a great Lady having an instant rapport with strangers, we felt at home with her at the first meeting An experience not to be missed.

Exciting foods to try, lots of laughs, full bellies and the most fun night in PP ever. Definitely a night out with super Ducky should be #1 on your itinerary! She's a hoot and an amass of local knowledge. Also never thought I'd enjoy an optional cricket. Thanks from the kiwis x

It seems as though all the other reviews have captured the flavour of an evening with Ducky – but I have to add my own as well – what a great night! Thank you Ducky. We were just my partner and I, plus one other guest, plus Ducky and our excellent Tuk Tuk driver. Ducky arrived at our hotel with a huge smile on her face and was the perfect host all evening: looking after everything for us and a source of great knowledge about Phnom Penh, Cambodia and of course, the food. We couldn’t have asked for someone better to help us explore the fascinating food and flavours of this wonderful place. The highlight for me was exploring the market and tasting a whole range of fruits (many that we hadn’t had before, delicious desserts, meats and other “interesting” specialities! Ducky was very attentive to our tastes and likes/dislikes and if we mentioned a particular interest, she was off, finding a stall that could supply it. She “quality checked” everything, and it as fascinating watching her interact with the delightful market people, and to listen to her telling us about the lives of the people working in the market. A really great evening, with a really wonderful host. Thanks ever so much Ducky!

We did the roving dinner (it was our honeymoon) with Ducky, and it was FANTASTIC! We are both avid foodies, and love trying new and interesting food in cool and unique places. This tour certainly delivered. From meeting us at the hotel, introducing us to Phnom Penh during drinks overlooking the sun setting over the city; to having our three course meal across three different restaurants around the city! This tour is a must for any food lovers. Ducky is a pleasure to dine and travel the town with, knows the staff and chefs personally, and ensures that you have a memorable and delightful evening. We thoroughly recommend this tour (and any other tours she does, if you have time!). Ducky also took the time to give us recommendations for the other dinners we were in Phnom Penh, all of which were excellent (especially "The Common Tiger" and "Romdang"). Thanks Ducky :)

I booked last minute with the "roving dinners" tour. What a great way to spend an evening in Phnom Penh. Ducky is a fantastic hostess and it seems like everywhere she goes, people are happy to see her. Even if you're not that crazy about food (who isn't) you can still experience PP like a local, make friends, bounce ideas off other travelers, and just enjoy yourself. I would have never found out about any of these places on my own. Thank you, Ducky and Mr. Smiley!

Ducky arranged our pick-up from the hotel on Tuesday in a tuk-tuk driven by friendly Mr Smiley. A lovely lady, she has a fascinating story and emanates positive vibes. She took us to see the sunset on a roof bar before taking us to sample delicious desserts that we would otherwise have never sampled in the market. Then off to try some insects which were surprisingly tasty and some exciting fruit. Then across the road for the best ribs in town. So good in fact, we went there again this evening! The bbq was delicious - Ducky ordered several dishes for us all to try and ensured everyone was comfortable with everything, explaining all the dishes. It was great seeing her interact with the locals who are very fond of her. Ducky even emailed us with recommendations for good eats in Siem Reap which is our next stop. Thanks for such a wonderful experience, Ducky! Wish you all the best.

My husband and I went 3 nights ago with Ducky. A lovely lady who has Mr Smiley as our driver. We went for sunset drinks straight away and a nice strong g&t got us in the mood for snacks. I won't spoil the surprise but let you know Ducky looks after her lost lambs very nicely and let's you try things you would be too scared to by yourself! If you're a foodie, you must do this evening with her. The smells, the sights, the sounds and oh those bbq ribs!

I joined a group for the evening Market and Local BBQ tour on 24 Feb 2015, and had an excellent experience. Ducky is an amazing host and guide from Australia who knows her way around Phnom Penh, and the pacing and sequencing of the food tour was perfect. She really takes care of everyone, as do her associate tuk-tuk drivers, who joined us for the BBQ dinner. Once the evening begins, you just go with the flow and eat (or don't) as your heart and stomach desire - everything is taken care of. Our group was ten people, and everyone was very cool and friendly. The tour took us to a number of places that would have been intimidating, as well as difficult to find, for even well-seasoned travelers given that we were invariably the only foreigners around. Overall, a really amazing time that I would strongly recommend for anyone interesting in learning more about the local food, culture and people of Phnom Penh and Cambodia.

My wife and I were told about the tour by another couple who'd declared themselves foodies, as we were and hurried emails were sent. Ducky got us on the tour for the following night and we were so happy she did.We were picked up by Ducky and Mr Smillie her TukTuk pilot and along with the couple we'd met the night before started the gastronomic journey.Drinks first to see the city scape from the highest bar in Phonm Penh. The actual food tour started with desert and took in pork crackling, locust/crickets, beetles, worms, local fruits and the best pork ribs ever and then finished with a meal at a locals restaurant. The food and company was awesome and eating bugs is a pleasure not a chore, I'm a Celebrity keep me in! Book it you'll love it.

What a lovely experience hanging out with Duckie and her gang of tuk tuk drivers for the night, tasting and seeing things that I would have never been able to do alone. From a roof top bar with views across Phnom Penh, to a local market teeming with beautiful sights and smells, and then to a BBQ restaurant. I even tried the bugs, but you don't have to if you don't want to. Duckie was so friendly and generous with her information about Cambodian food and life. This tour is so much fun and great value for money. Definitely book it in!

We booked on the street food tour last night and had an amazing time! Travelling around Phnom Penh with Ducky is like travelling around with a good friend! We wet picked up from our hotel by Ducky and Mr Smiley (a lovely tuk tuk driver - very aptly named!) at 5pm and set off for our first stop - a cocktail at the tallest rooftop bar in PP. Afterwards we headed to a local market where we tried different fruits, insects (optional!) and yummy BBQ pork ribs - followed by dinner at a local restaurant (no tourists except us) with a great live band. Ducky is very knowledgeable about the area and the different foods and you can tell she loves living in Phnom Penh. There were 5 of us on the tour (including Ducky) and we all crammed into one tuk tuk Cambodian style - it was brilliant! Do this tour, you won't regret it!

We did the Phnom Penh Roving Dinner and I can highly recommend it. The thing I liked most was that by the time it was finished we felt we had been given a glimpse into multiple different facets of the Cambodian food scene. One minute we were sipping cocktails with the uber rich, the next we were breaking french bread with ex-pats, the next we were with our hands amongst the locals. The tour included stops at four different locations, each contrasting to the previous. The tour guide was brilliant, going beyond discussions about food to talk about culture, politics, local attractions and more. No request was too much effort and no question too silly.I was pleasantly surprised to see that all alcohol was included. I wasn't sure when I booked but we had some really nice wines, cocktails and local beers over the course of the tour. This is a great tour, especially if you're only in town for one night. It really allowed us to experience so much more than we could ever have on our own in the same period of time.

My wife and I and 20 yr old son got picked up in the tuktuks met up with a couple of other Aussie lads on the tour same age as our son so that was an added bonus. Off we went to the Eclipse Bar for a round of warm up cocktails or beers and then off to do the rounds of the food market sampling a lot of the local food. Ducky was very informative and made the tour so much more interesting and a lot of fun. The bbq dinner that followed was fantastic and had all the hallmarks of turning into a very big night out. The fact that Ducky is an Aussie chick and knows the ins and outs of Phnom Penh so well made it that much more interesting.

Hi there,Thank you so much for your review. I am so sorry you missed out on the tour however my house was broken into that day (while I was in the house) and my laptop, among other things, was stolen. I was really quite shaken as you can imagine and I had no laptop or access to my emails to contact you. The only way I thought I could was to leave a message for you at the hotel. Again please accept my apologies and I hope to catch up if you ever swing through town again.Safe travels,Ducky

This is an amazing tour. Ducky is a fantastic hostess -- knowledgeable, engaging and accommodating. The tour is much more than just a food experience, but that said the food is absolutely incredible. It's a nice blend of pushing your boundaries (crickets, worms, beetles, all optional of course) and providing more comfortable deliciousness. I definitely would not have been able to find or negotiate much of it on my own -- this is no TripAdvisor tour de force. Ducky also goes out of her way to help you with recommendations for the rest of your Cambodian adventure. All in all, this is a first class experience at a steal of a price. Don't miss it!
